Hmmmmm....where to go with this!? Well, kundalini isn't a demon, that much I can say for certain. As for fire and danger, perhaps so. I'm curious, what is your opinion based on? Personal experience? Something you read in the Bible? Do you believe it just because you read it? Are you in the Pat Robertson camp of thinking that yoga itself is the work of the devil? If so, I can assure you that any conversation between you and I will be utterly pointless. I've done a lot of research on kundalini and had my fair share of spiritual experiences, and it is the life force energy. It is the energy of the Goddess. Most spiritual traditions utterly revile the Goddess energy, and in fact think that it is a demon or the devil, because they fear it. Kundalini is also the Christ energy, imo. Not that I think that Christ was the Goddess, but that Christ sought to validate the Goddess and the feminine polarity. Yes, I do agree that it can be dangerous and can feel like fire. But, that is quite different from saying it is a demon, that it is evil, bad, wrong, or a path away from God. I would say that it is in fact the most real energy of God. But, that doesn't mean one should actively seek it out. Seek out awareness, seek out understanding, seek out greater presence of being, seek out spiritual illumination. And if it leads towards the awakening of powerful energies, then embrace that and find peace with it. Demons are not the issue. Ignorance and blindness, and a fear of going within, yes, that is a real obstacle to finding true spiritual understanding. |

Yes, the demons hate it when you expose them. Lisa, as a Christian, what does spiritual awakening mean to you, in a real sense? Does it mean having a profound inner connection with God and with the universe? Is meditation also the work of the devil? Jesus said the kingdom of heaven is within. I fully agree. There's a lot of other stuff within as well. But why label an inner spiritual energy as a demon? It strikes me that it's living a life of fear, to think that meditating (looking within) and practicing yoga (meditation plus physical exercise) is the work of the devil. Don't look inside, because there's something scary lurking there! And yet, Jesus said the kingdom of heaven is within.....hmmmm.... |

All I have to do is read the first line to know that it's B.S., to my estimation anyway. There is no "New Age religion". This is like talking about "those Asians" without having the slightest understanding that Asia is a vast continent of many different countries, different cultures, different religions, completely different viewpoints and ways of living, from Japan to Indonesia to India. I can only agree that "New Age" is a cheezy term that does include a lot of flaky, ungrounded people...but also includes a lot of awakening and awakened, colorful, beautiful, wise, interesting, grounded, open-minded and open-hearted people. But hey, to each his/her own. If it wasn't your thing then I'm glad if you found the truth as you see it. I see it differently. And personally I believe that most modern-day interpretations of the teachings of Christ are in fact anti-Christ. |

PICS Wow, interesting indeed! It does sound like a similar phenomenon to what somebody else was describing with the monks. Contacting some kind of inner energy that's causing your body to heat up. I wouldn't fear it. It could be leading to something greater. If it feels right, continue with the meditations. If it doesn't feel right to continue with that practice then don't. Listen to your inner wisdom. It may not always be right, but it's more accurate than anything else I can think of! |

Kundalini has been practiced before Jesus came to earth. It is noticed in ancient sanskrit and some old buddhist sect teaching. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 10627779 Yes, very true. In fact there are some who assert (i.e. the book "The Aquarian Gospel of Jesus") that Jesus traveled to India and learned yoga, meditation and the ancient teachings (even then) from the Hindu teachers, and that was an important part of his spiritual path that led to his works and miracles. |

To comment on the title, a fifteen year old child I once knew since he was three went through this process with help from guys like op over the nets. He made it to the fire, but the madness took his life. He began to hear command hallucinations telling him to kill himself and two years later he certainly did so. That was my only anecdotal experience with someone who had a Kundalini awakening. Voices, terror, pain, confusion, death. If it is not inherently dangerous, then why the dire warning in the title? |

That's demons. I"m telling you guys the truth, you're inviting demons into your body, mind, and life. You're playing with the most dangerous thing you possibly can. Of course the demons HATE being exposed, they will rage against the truth, they will yell out foul language, foam at the mouth, laugh and mock, they will do anything they can to keep you in bondage and away from the Truth and the Truth is that this stuff is dangerous and it will seperate you from God for all eternity if you let it. Stop eating from the table of demons and come into the truth, light and life that is Jesus Christ! :thebattle: |
