Anyone near Lincoln, NE? Look at the HUGE halo around the Moon!

Northwest here, we can finally see the super bright moon. It's mostly clear. But very windy far up, so the clouds are moving past briskly. Also makes you dizzy looking at it.

I took this a little earlier tonight. The camera has the infrared filter removed. Three pic tonemap.

This is basically what I'm seeing but the halo is even larger now. If I extend my pink and thumb as far apart as I can and hold my arm straight out, the radius of the halo is basically the distance from the tip of my thumb to tip of my pinky. I have an average size adult male hand.

Had something similar here, it was beautiful. It was right overhead and it looked like the heavens had opened up.

Through the window. Yeah, the one with four moons looks kids cool. Oddly enough the one with the most detail, is the reflection. Since I didn't go out side and set up, I didn't bother messing with the mode. The bright moon and planet are the real ones.

Huh.. right now the moon does have a wicked hue. Noticeably more than a couple days ago.

The stars around it are clear, no clouds in that part of the sky for me now. That atmosphere looks dusty?

Maybe it's ISON dust? =D

chemtrails create the halo

A ring around the moon means rain. The smaller the circle, the closer the rain.

Very common. It means it will rain in the next 72 hrs. What causes the halo? I haven't a clue. You don't believe me,or think I'm blowing smoke...Ask a farmer,they will tell you the same. Also when the leafs on a bay tree turn upside down to where the leafs look white...Rain is a coming. Around 5:00 am this morning as I was leaving I noticed the halo,& yes we have terrible weather coming to the Gulf Coast in the next 48-72 hrs.
