I remember playing Night Elf druid when WoW firstly came out during like 2004ish.

But tho Ive been playing causal CS for about 20 years now, much longer than WoW.

My character I played the longest, was Night Elf hunter..I think around lvl 73.

I loved that game.

Some of it looks like I imagined Heaven might look. The bear sounds of the growl, is permanent etched in my memory for some reason.


I thought the spirit world after you died was also very clever, if not annoying at times.

You ever click a thread..think about posting..decide to read through it first, and be so thankful you didn't?

Disregarding intuition is never a good idea. Making up for doing so, is rarely fun.

I'm playing a phone/mobile game called adventure quest 3d which is really fun, similar to WoW.

I had a good first day there. It's a really cool little place. One of my creative assignments is to invent a cult with rituals and a slogan.

Sounds fun. Would that work on tablet? I have no phone games or tablet games..mostly because I never trusted the 'permissions' that came along with them..

Yes, I play it on my tablet. You might like it. No ps4 or switch here so I have to settle for mobile gaming right now.

One of my favorite aspects of WOW, was the crafting and cooking/fishing leveling abilities. I think I had the most fun with those and exploring and grinding, to find and try different recipes and such.

I was often a leather worker. It was fun.

I've been fascinated with the very prevalent 'good old days' psychological aspect of memory for a long time. If I see it mentioned, I can't help but wonder how others might analyze it.

Each and every generation will feel the same way - that the world was a better place to live in when they were younger. This is what I was referring to when I asked are any of them (them being individual generations) really right about their good old days being good. Would any other generation be right to say they aren't good?

If every generation is right to feel this way about their good old days, then the state of the world is that of perpetual degeneration. I think it a hard argument to try to state as fact that the quality of life for humans has perpetually degraded, though...

I read somewhere just the other day, that as people age they tend to forget a lot of the hardship from their past, and instead focus more on good memories when looking back.

Such that, the era or time looked back on, is viewed through rose-colored glasses.

Better and worse times is completely subjective based on values. Modern times are better for technology. Old times were better for pokemon red and blue. There really isn't an objective answer to this question, its preference. I look back fondly on the 90's but the 2000s were "meh". For me anyway.

You haven't lived 3 decades yet. I've barely lived 4. Our timelines aren't long enough yet.

im sorry, i have played many many many different mmos and NOTHING ever comes close to Teldrassil or the night elf territory. It is absolutely the most fantasy looking beautiful place ever. nobody has come close to making anything look and feel like this place does in any game.

It's definitely easier to text. You don't have to have a continuous conversation and you don't have to be intimate by sharing your voice. I still like calls occasionally or with certain people but on the whole texting is less stressful.

True.

I speak to 4 people on the phone, my parents, my brother, and my partner. End of list.

Even then, it is near impossible to get a hold of me. I usually just let my phone battery die and not charge it until the following Friday for my work. I use it take it credit cards, otherwise, I never use it.

More of an emergency thing.

Ever since I went two months without my phone after first getting here I appreciate it way more. But of course I use it for this website a lot not having a computer here. I fall asleep to netflix on my tablet. My roommate moved out so I've had quite a few days with the room to myself. It's great.

Lately I've been watching the great british baking show. I like how all the contestants help each other
