Eroding Ages
Dr Tasman Bruce Walker
Creationist Mechanical Engineer and Geologist

It was James Hutton, the Scottish physician-turned-geologist, who suggested in 1785 that the earth was immensely old. His famous assertion that there was ‘no vestige of a beginning, no prospect of an end’ paved the way for Darwin’s theory of evolution. Today most geologists take Hutton’s views for granted. Evolutionists generally accept that the continents formed at least 2.5 billion years ago.

These ideas are found to be wholly unconvincing once we take a closer look. We find that there are many geological processes that indicate the continents are not as old as evolutionists say. One such problem for the old-age idea is erosion. The continents cannot be billions of years old because they would have eroded away long ago. There should be nothing left.

Continents Are Young

The ‘slow and gradual’ story, suggested by the Scottish physician Hutton two hundred years ago, does not make sense. Old-earthers claim that the continents are over 2.5 billion years old, yet using their own assumptions, the continents should have eroded away in 10 million years. Note that this 10 million years is not the estimated age of the continents. Rather, it highlights the bankruptcy of uniformitarian ideas.

Geologists who believe the Bible consider that the mountains and continents we have today were formed as a consequence of the Flood of Noah’s day. When the continents were uplifted at the end of the Flood, the incredible energy of the retreating flood waters carved the landscape. Not a lot, geologically speaking, has happened in the 4,500 years since then.

Re: How do you feel about the fact that a Roman emperor and dictator invented Christianity as you know it?
I'm talking about emperor Theodosius that via secular law made Nicene/Catholic Christianity mandatory Roman state religion in 380 AD. (Constantine only legalized it).

At this time there were many disparate Christian sects and views within the empire and church - Arians, Anomoeans, Macedonians, Novatians - before Theodosius forcefully outlawed them and decided that the orthodoxy of Alexandria, and more importantly, papal Rome, was the only legal religion. One state religion unified under Roman supremacy.

The obvious question is, how does this effect the credibility and legitimacy the modern Christianity?

Even if the church is "physically" and hierarchically divided through the East–West Schism and the Reformation, it's still spiritually unified through the Nicene-Constantinopolitan Creed and the Chalcedonian Creed - its mutual foundation.

Or maybe you consider Theodosius a gentile Messiah, like Cyrus, anointed to carry out God's task of a church unified under Roman authority?

Discuss.

Please try keeping it civil. That's means preferably no personal attacks. Let's at least try discussing the subject.

The Earth has been reset many times. Some natural and some caused by God. Humans were created, they are just a very advanced form of robot with the addition of a Spirit.

Mason Dumbwin's THEORY of evolution is a sick Joke that only a moron could believe.

Bare in mind that Jesus NEVER claimed that the Earth was only six thousand years old, that claim was made by lucifer in the old testament.

Remember, masons and the sons of the devil tag team make black white and white black.

Atlantis existed up until about 12,000 years ago and was located as what is known today as the North Pole.

They pissed God off with their evil so God flipped the Physical Poles to the position they are located today, a long way from where they were prior to the flip. God took most life off Earth.

Then the dipstick Giants showed up and once again decided to serve lucifer. Once again they pissed God off so this time he flooded the Earth and sent them all to hell.

As a matter of interest, can anybody guide to where these giants fit into lucifer serving mason Dumbwin's THEORY of evolution ??????

Now, once again lucifer's boys, the sons of the devil and the synthetic want to bees sons of the devil the masons have pissed God off..

Can you guess what comes next???????

Re: How do you feel about the fact that a Roman emperor and dictator invented Christianity as you know it?
The silence is disappointing, especially when the Word is our concern.

The Word of God is simply the word "God", "God" is a word hence the Word of God.
No, we are not speaking about the outward string of characters "God" but about its inward meaning.

Jesus is the word "God".

En arche en ho Logos kai ho Logos en pros ton Theon kai Theosen ho Logos.

Nota bene:

ton Theon: the God, Him who is God, Him unto whom the concept of God applies.

Theos: "God", the word "God", the property of being God, the concept of God, godhood.

Thus, In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with the God and "God" was the Word.

This has far reaching consequences (one of them is that the last "was" in the above sentence is not merely "=", as in the word we are talking about is the particular word "God", but also predication i.e, to that particular word that same word itself applies i.e., the Word is God).

This can be demonstrated.

if the Bible was made up, why leave out the life of Jesus between a child and his 30s?

what, did they run out of imagination?

surely that would be a good time to add to the story…

and why leave out the burning of Rome in the 1st century, or the complete destruction of Jerusalem?? surely these details would have been worth mentioning in a Bible written later than the dates these events happened: 70 AD...

Of course they are. Remember Manoah? Were they talking to a man? To an angel? Think of it. What about the three men that passed by Abraham? What about the two that came to Sodom?

Did not Yahweh say to Moses that he shall be God to Pharaoh, with Aaron a prophet?

Incidentally, notice how the angel that came to Manoah speaks about his name. Mystery.

What is incorrect, from your perspective, in the post about the Word of God?

And the angel of Yahweh appeared unto the woman, and said unto her, Behold now, thou art barren, and bearest not: but thou shalt conceive, and bear a son. (Judges 13.3)

Then the woman came and told her husband, saying, A man of God came unto me, and his countenance was like the countenance of an angel of God, very terrible: but I asked him not whence he was, neither told he me his name:(Judges 13.)

And Manoah arose, and went after his wife, and came to the man, and said unto him, Art thou the man that spakest unto the woman? And he said, I am (Judges 13.11)

And the angel of Yahweh said unto him, Why askest thou thus after my name, seeing it is secret? So Manoah took a kid with a meat offering, and offered it upon a rock unto Yahweh: and the angel did wondrously; and Manoah and his wife looked on. For it came to pass, when the flame went up toward heaven from off the altar, that the angel of Yahweh ascended in the flame of the altar. And Manoah and his wife looked on it, and fell on their faces to the ground. (Judges 13.18-20)

Notice how the only wondrous event is when the angel showed that the sacrificed kid stands for worthy men, while the sweet aroma of the burnt offering, ascending into Yahweh's nostrils, are the resulting angels. (For that is why he did what he did). Thus there was nothing extraordinary with the angel's appearance, he looked like a man, except for his peculiar countenance, but still no miracles were involved.

Angel is the heavenly part of man. Angel = Eve, man = Adam, quite literally. This is why the locusts have hairs of women in the book of Revelation. This is why there are many passage saying "your men of valor are women" etc.
