Respond to this thread if you earn less than $60,000 a year and are surviving... I am doing a little experiment here to prove a point.

i take the max in the most affordable tax bracket i fall into based on my exemptions/deductions for the given year. and i'm surviving just fine.

Same, WAY less lol, i could not afford to live in the UK on my measly pension but here it is enough to get by.

I don't begrudge anyone having a good income though tbh, they have done the ground work to get there etc so good for them. I wouldn't mind a job here to keep me busy but the money is a joke, doing 6 days a week for $100 a month just doesn't do it for me lol.

God has carried my wife and I through the lean times - and I mean lean - and has blessed me since with the opportunity to make enough money to sock away for my retirement and then some.

My wife and I survived on less than 20k per year, and that's with a mortgage and two kids while I was growing my business.
It isn't easy being self employed and you take the good with the bad, but I've worked my ass off for a LONG time to get to where I am today.

Perhaps no one NEEDS 500,000 per year, but those that make it end up spending money that creates jobs for others.
If you capped everyone at 65k a LOT of jobs would be lost.

I live on less than 11k a year.

I pull 40k before taxes, my gf makes about the same but pays a little less taxes.


After all the bills, we survive but have trouble saving up money. But I can't complain we live in a decent home and eat dinner every night and provide well for her son.

less than 10K a year, old lady with chickens, live alone in the woods on rented land, grow most of my own food, cut fire wood etc. Happiest I have ever been in all life. I could live forever like this if the pain of my body wearing out was not so bad.

No, because they waste a large precentage of that income paying others to do what they could do themselves if they had any actual skills.

Landscaping, vegetable gardening, home repair, vehicle repair, electrical, plumbing, framing, etc.

A good lot those millions will do when SHTF if you don't know how to light a camp stove.

I gross about 60K, net about 36K. Doing fine.

I make less than 20K and only survive because I don't Have any housing and medical costs.

46-50k commission based. Starting to make more. Can afford rent (1375) health insurance (>400month), utilities and food. No gov. aid. 80 plus hour weeks, currently 13 days straight. Feel like a fucking peasant. But I do it for my son. Will continue to do it. I'm 25, electrician.

I have worked very hard all my life but people I trusted kept stealing everything I worked hard for.

$130,000 and barely getting by, also I don't drink, do drugs or gamble.

You can build up a multi million dollar empire with less than 50K income over 20 years.

You need a hyper masculine personality (rare)/self -sacrifice/income properties & private money / partners who believe in you.

The latter part is how Trump turned the equivalent of 100K into 1 Billion.

(1 Million into 10 billion.)

Paycheck to paycheck 100,000 grand when you figure in benefits. I save a shit load in 401k, health insurgence is 700 bucks. I have only the wife no dependents. Cash is probably 60 or 70 grand. My wife is horrible with money and smokes a ton of weed.
