Whoever gave me bad karma for having common sense on this thread just speak up and say it directly to me instead of hiding.

Jim Acosta is a douche but to say he assaulted a woman is wrong. Don't lose track of your moral compass here.

People are becoming blind to the common goal here and that we need to work together, not against each other. How many times are we going to fight back and forth to realize it has gotten us no where.

It may not have been a violent assault. But it clearly meets the legal definition of assault.

Simple assault is an attempt to do serious bodily harm. Again I just don't see it.

I saw the video but was there threatening words to go with it? I just feel we are grasping here at the facts.

You can be charged with assault for throwing water on a person.

She went to reclaim White House property and was physically blocked.

That is assault.

Acosta is lucky that the WH decided to handle him with kid gloves. He and his CNN bosses have decided that this is WH weakness and are using their opportunity to smear the WH. Acosta even went on late night TV. Stupid just crawled further down the hole.

Some guys don't learn from their mistakes. They just multiply them.

Glad it's not someone I know or support. Would be deeply disappointing to see.

President Trump has been more than patient with this asshole, if any reporter had treated black jesus like that, they would have been banned from the white house a lot sooner.

At no point did she "grab his arm" as Fake News CNN is claiming.

You really don't know what you are talking about. Before making a big deal about your feelings on this event, you should read about what constitutes assault. If you poke someone with a finger, you can be charged--and it is a serious charge. If you are assaulted, you have the right to defend yourself.

Acosta was in the wrong in his verbal behavior, his disrespect for the protocol and authority in the room, and the new item--physical assault. He should have been arrested on the spot--after having his teeth knocked out.

Legally that was an assault. Fingerpoke someone in the chest and you can go down (fines, jail) for assault.

The media here is saying that the video posted by WH (showing Acosta hitting the staffer) is manipulated to make it look like he hits her. They're implying that WH removed a few frames and sped the video up at the critical moment to make it look like a slap.
