Macau Grand Prix crash (VIDEO) 17 y/o female driver fails to slow at upcoming turn...car goes flying thru air ,hits photo stand

I give that crash an 8/10. Good job. Glad she survived with only a few minor injuries... right?... Pretty impressive actually... Kind of like being shot at but every bullet misses.

I was following two of my favourite drivers, whom I know in person, Kamui Kobayashi and Pastor Maldonado.

I have no TV or "smart" phone. I did not find a live link to the race so I had no idea this had happened.

Glad to hear she got out safely. It is always nice to see women drivers.

Michael Schmacher's son "Mick Jr." is racing in Formula 3 there. I am not sure how he is doing. Not sure if the F3 race is on at this time or if already ended.

LOL, looks like she lost control down the straight and was going backwards into the curve but hit the yellow car which launched her in the air - she probably left some marks in her seat! Hope all is ok with all that are injured!

She didn't fail to slow, she was hit from behind and spun, she entered the photo-stand backwards.

if you read down the link you'll see that she is ok, but complains of back pain (possible spine fracture).

F1 and F2 cars are equipped with a halo (ugly if you ask me) but not F3 or Formula Electric. I suspect they will all be equipped by the time the next season starts.

Not sure the "halo" is protective though...

Who cares that she's female, nobody else is confused how a 17 y/o is a formula car racer? How is that even possible.

Oh I dunno...because most professional race car drivers begin driving when they are about 4 years old and oh maybe, she is just that good?

Formula 3 however in Formula 1 Max Verstappen (18 years, seven months, five days old) won his first F1 race.
