Went to Wellsfargo today and someone left their ATM card still inside the machine
so I went to Wellsfargo today to make a deposit at the ATM ,the ATM machine was asking me if I wanted to make another transaction? well apparently the person prior to me had left it inside, and it was showing me how much money he had in the account ,I could've made a withdrawal and spend half of what he had (a total of 500 US dollars) but I decided to just eject his or her card and hand it to the teller.

I feel good I did the right thing and avoid bad karma .

People should always do the right thing.

I think the only crime committed today by me was and is banking at wellsfargo

That's not how karma works. Though you did 'the right thing' you will probably be punished for it. God hates it when you do good things. Watch out this week, for no good deed goes unpunished. I can't count how many times I've returned wallets, bank cards and other valuables when I could have stolen them, and each time, I was rewarded with personal disaster, 'acts of god' as the insurance companies say. The truth is the only thing I ask of "God" any more is to just fucking stop. Don't make me do good things any more. Because I will, and I know what follows. God's a prick.

Nicely done, OP. If everyone acted the way you did, there wouldn't be any crimes and we wouldn't need to hire police.

Then again, you can only make choices for yourself. Sigh.

I don't know man,I once kept a wallet with over 600 dollars in it that I found on a counter of Macys on Christmas Eve only to spend it on a 1500 dollar Gucci Tote bag for my then fiancee , Karma bite me in the ass because we never got married and she moved on some years ago.

yup, I'm 36 pushing 37 next wk , When I was younger I wasn't so warm at heart or wise enough to notice the stressed I cause on other for their mistakes.

When a sales clerk has me more change than they are supposed to hand me I call it out ,I always get a great positive respond as they are glad that honesty still exist in this cruel world.

Do the right thing, smile, enjoy your job because others don;t have it as good as you do.

Yeah, I have done it too. I know many people live from paycheck to paycheck. If you steal from them, their kids will go hungry. I don't want that on my conscience. It's another thing if there is half a mil on the account.

You probably saved yourself a trip to jail. ATM's take your picture. You could have been arrested for theft. You did the right thing OP. You are not a criminal. Thank you.

You're a good person, congratulations on doing the right thing.
Once the ATM st work gave me an extra $20, so I brought it to the teller. They figured out who had used the machine before me and returned it to her. She called me and was so happy and grateful it made my day. She couldn't believe someone would return it.

"All creatures are created from the same paternal heartbeat of God. Not to hurt our humble brethren is our first duty to them, but to stop there is not enough. We have a higher mission--to be of service to them wherever they require it. If you have men who will exclude any of God's creatures from the shelter of compassion and pity, you will have men who will deal likewise with their fellow men."

The whole karma part is bullshit. There is no magical fairy in the sky rewarding or punishing.

You do the right thing because of character and expect nothing in return.
