My parents do not have the slightest idea of the magnitude of the blackout. They managed to tell me that they had no light without knowing that other states are the same. As of today my dad has run out of water, the temperature of the fridge has already risen, so what he had in the fridge will already damage.

Today I do not feel the "we're going well" for three days where I've only known about my family for a majer no longer than 20 minutes. Where I know that they already lack water, I know that the food is about to be damaged. We are making progress? No. The thing is going from bad to worse and it does not look like changing soon.

That 2nd substation exploding video in Ciudad Bolivar Venezuela looks similar to the New York substation mishap not long ago. Maybe it was a test run?

First substation fire was in Ciudad Guayana, this new one is in Ciudad Bolivar. Both cities are very close by to the Guri Dam.

11 PM State #Bolívar Civil Protection reports a fire in the vicinity of the Los Crags substation in Ciudad Bolívar, Venezuela.

This looks like a different substation to the one that blew up earlier today

Now, the US is in them? Magic, perhaps? Much as the military would probably like the reputation, I doubt it.

Just my two cents' worth.

On the other hand, this isn't the first or even the third major power blow-up this year. New York, one in Tennessee, one in India, and others i ran into while looking up that one in India. Maybe the sun/cosmic rays/van allen belts ionization or whatever, all of the above, are just unsettling our systems.
