I guess it would depend on what other faculties an eternal being would have.
It could be a curse if one was to see and experience time and not be able to control events and simply exist and then decay and die, to start all over again.
Could be a blessing if an immortal is able to understand the impact that it could have and manipulate reality because of this timeless existence.

if the curse of awareness is pain, the biological organism shuts down and dies.

if awareness results in blissful, happy awareness, the cells of the body themselves begin to cheerfully agitate and function and rejuvenate the body.

in the science of happiness lies the keys.

and how can you be happy at other's suffering? that's a trick your mind is playing on you, you believe you are having revenge but in reality you are not, but your compulsion is so strong, you must trick your mind into acting out your revenge on a suitable target in order to achieve justice-gasm. but orgasm with evil girl will not bring you happiness.

It is what it is....why think of it as good (blessing) or bad (curse)?

All experiences are lessons to be learned from.

Immorality is the biggest curse on this planet.
