Wonderful actor and has contributed so much. He starred in the movie "Little Buddha"--as Buddha of course--just a classic for introduction to the Philosophy of Buddhism. Just found the bio and the link if you want to check it out. (It's one of my favorite all-time movies and Reeves does a spectacular job in the role, as do Fonda Issak and the Buddhist Lhama. Keanu Reeves, Bridget Fonda and recording artist Chris Isaak star in this motion picture spectacular from Academy Award- winning director Bernardo Bertolucci (The Last Emperor, 1987). In Seattle, Jesse Conrad and his parents (Fonda and Isaak) encounter Tibetan Monks, with one of the higher-ups Lahmas investigating whether or not Fonda's 10 year old son may be the reincarnation of a his teacher, a great Buddha-Soul. I heard the movie is based on an actual true story, but not sure if it happened in Seattle. They do have a Dharma center, however.
