8 jobs is probably what I covered by the time I was a junior in college, and that is not including the myriad of jobs I had throughout high school and even before. The pick of the litter, regarding employment, finally came after I earned my degree. I’m not judging you or trying to break you down, but I always look back and get the feeling that it was worth it. My parents never went to college and they did the check to check thing - watching this as a kid, I remember thinking “life sucks”. My brother and I didn’t have nice things and in high school, we certainly weren’t invited to play in all “their” reindeer games. I was that kid who raked the neighbor’s leaves, mowed their lawn, and took the trash cans to the dumpster for a couple of bucks. I was also the kid who realized at a young age that life is based on the choices we make and just because it really sucked today doesn’t necessarily mean it has to suck tomorrow. So even though my childhood sucked, today is pretty fucking amazing!

Hang in there OP you have much company in your demise more than you know. Stop paying taxes to a government that wants you gone first off, make it up in your mind then withhold finances that go to anything that is not right or at least uplifting to your family. I feel the same way. My plan is to keep my cost of living as low as possible, no matter how much money I'm making. That way, if I manage to land a job with a nice salary, I can either just work part time, or maybe retire a little early or something. At the same time, I'm constantly trying to tap into my talents in hopes of eventually doing something I love for a living. Writing, game programming, music, entertaining. If you can get something rolling, you can make tons of money doing some cool stuff. That's the dream right? I still hold onto it, even if this society tries to keep me down :) And who knows how much longer this circus can go on anyway. Our whole society could collapse at a moment's notice. Just gotta go with the flow.
