Re: So hospice won't go into your home if there's firearms there...
My mom's best friend after 54 years needs hospice care after cancer etc.
Her husband refused to remove his guns from his home & sent his wife to die at their daughters home.

Have you heard of this before? Would the police give you your arms back if they were to remove them "for safety"?

Probably because the hospice nurses are felons.

I would provide health care to them! I don't have a problem with firearms!

My father went through hospice and passed on in spring of 2019. He had firearms and there was ZERO conversation about them.

It may depend upon how draconian your state is. Ours is pretty strong on the 2A.

I have no need of "hospice" ever.

After I pass away, my wife may do what she wants with my firearms.

She is ten years my junior, so in all likelihood, I would be the one to pass first.

So no details on how hospice:

1- finds out that you own firearms

2- enforces their seizure from your possession

3- verifies that no firearms are present afterwards...

It's because they are afraid of getting caught dehydrating and murdering your loved one that you might shoot them.

The Terri Shavo verdict made all this possible.

Sorry, it's you that is bullshit. Those hospice workers invaded every inch of my dad's space and knew exactly what was in that house. The first thing they did was rearrange his house to accommodate all the medical equipment. They request keys to locked storage areas. They took over. If you haven't been through it, consider yourself lucky.

all depends upon what statue/code their removal fell under-
unregistered unlicensed public safety whatever-and
according to these statutes IS a hearing involved -if no hearings written as part of their laws, tell them to return with an ink signed warrant specific fo removal.
and as always be polite--not bootlikkin here but maintain composure.

have i ever heard of this before ?
in regard to hospice ? nope.

when they have the time, they should ask appropriate lawmakers on it-

one can see the reasons for re-arranging the area for DIRECT "consumer" care,BUT beyond that ?
hell NO.
they bring in what's necessary and leave it accessible in the open.
i know having to deal w/them on top of everything else assoc w/ a known terminal situation IS HARD,but someone should have checked into THAT--you have a right under the 4th amendment--and ooooooo yeah, inform THEM ON IT.

we did not go through this w/ hospice home care and know no one that did w/in home hospice BUT DO BELIEVE YOU.

now this is NOT regarding hospice, but involves invasive ""policies"" where these agencies lie about BS on HOME VISITS when you have an SSI SSD recip. getting a service or services--from whomever is the provider receiving payment via medicaid--
THEY WILL CLAIM the esteemed STATE makes this demand THAT THEY come IN YOUR HOME--ooo yeah ? FOR WHAT ?
back to alleged STATE DEMAND--FOR WHAT ?!!!???
no such thing.
do not ever voluntarily admit anyone-can lead to a world of problems.....and wanting keys ? fugh off.
