Parents: Are you exhausted/stressed now thst the kids are not going back to school? | |
~Blue Spirit~ Observing... User ID: 78620325 United Kingdom 03/29/2020 11:06 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It's exhausting!! :-D.. I'll admit that... But, it's so much better and worth it in the long run... At least I am "allowed" to hold full responsibility for my child's education now... he was in primary school before this lockdown studying for his exams, currently an A* student and at level 1 sets... I'm helping him maintain that up by teaching him around 5 hours a day... he's much more relaxed, no stress from exams so he can concentrate more... Even though, he is kind of treating this like a holiday/vacation, lol... but, he's a bright child and is striving each day :-)... I have to work from home too 5 hours a day (roughly) so yes, it is very exhausting... it's worth it though... ~Blue Spirit~ |

Yep... we are told anything up to 18 months for reopening schools here in the UK... I don't mind... I'll teach him well, the best I can... We are happy... we've accepted that this is the way it is for now... I'm enjoying spending more time with him and actually living up to my role as his sole guardian/mother at all he does... ~Blue Spirit~ |

Quoting: Oxi moran Can you imagine, not so many generations ago kids spent their entire childhood, and in many cases even their adult life, at home? The whole sending your kids off for all of their childhood thing is a pretty new thing for humans.. imagine the cave people having to watch out for their kids and predators too! |

Close everyone up inside their homes and just watch the emotional manipulation rise. See my thread below to understand what's going on. |

The wife and I are (thankfully) both working from home, so don't have time to monitor my 13yo son. He hated school, so this is like summer for him. We can't force him to go outside and play, or keep up his studies while we work. Quoting: Writemeaticket Red Just let him do what he wants??? "Ma, where are my damn hotpockets??!! You just need to keep them on a schedule and stick to it. Recess/Gym is a daily must, go on bike rides or if you have exercise equipment have them use that. Quoting: chasity Exercise is important too, yes... especially for growing children... My child does have access to gym equipment... also has a child's sized wrestling ring, boxing room etc to release pent up tensions/express himself... That is good... I do believe that exercise is important for children and adults... ~Blue Spirit~ |

Bloody Peasant! User ID: 75284939 United States 03/29/2020 11:51 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Yep, my wife is still working so I'm home with the two kiddos, 6 and 8. Exhausting is an understatement and my brain is turning to oatmeal. I forget what day it is and I haven't shaved in two weeks. I've resorted to paper plates so in don't have to do dishes twice a day.
