The world SHOULD have banded together and beat the fuck out of all the communist regimes after Japan surrendered, but every country was fatigued and wanted shit to be over and said fuck it...too many losses and too many casualties and we want to go home....should have kept up the fight with allies and banded together more while we were still the only ones with the bomb.

The best way to defeat china IMHO is to cut the whole head off the snake at the very start.

China doesn't want a direct war with the US yet, they are not ready for that, they need at least another 10 years to build their military.

That said, I believe they will invade Taiwan soon.

They'll have to worry about more countries than America if they do something like that...that is outright aggression.

No, China is pining for total victory over the USA. Their first priority is to achieve it without total war, if at all possible. Total war is merely the backup plan.

China doesn't have the military capability to defeat the US and Free World Forces militarily. They probably don't have the military capability to invade Taiwan either.

At the moment we're in a cold war with China, but the West largely doesn't realise it yet since there has been so much money to be made off the CHINCOMs.

Free World intelligence agencies know what's going on and they will be advising Free World governments to strike China militarily, which will force the conflict out of the shadows and into the open where the CHICOM centres of gravity can be destroyed properly.

China is a direct peer adversary with the US. They have a large military with some solid tech. They have gone toe to toe with US forces in Vietnam, Korea, Boxer Rebellion.
