I assumed getting the contested states to decertify the electors was the goal of the revelation of the evidence to congress on the 6th. Never dreamed that a state would do it ahead of the 6th.

Did OP actually read the linked proposal? It says absolutely nothing about decertifying electors, nor certifying new ones. Here is the active language in the resolution. It literally says nothing more than "bad stuff happened, and we promise to do something about it at some point":

questions of legitimacy; now, therefore, be it
Resolved by the assembly, That: the Wisconsin State Assembly recognizes
that the most important function for a government is to conduct fair and honest
elections that follow the duly enacted law; and, be it further

question the integrity of the elections due to the failure of election officials to follow
the letter of the law, it is incumbent upon the legislature to address the issues that
are in question; and, be it further

procedures as its highest priority and shall take up legislation crafted to ensure civil
officers follow the laws as written.

I don't know what their intention is with this, but the preamble is very powerful, I am going to set it out again;

I don't see anything in the text of the resolution about decertifying electors. It just says that election officials were very naughty indeed, and something should be done about it.

No, it’s definitely for decertification as it was not a valid election.

"Redress" is the key powerful word in this resolution, otherwise, they know they are just wasting time.

They are going to amend ("redress") the "certified" vote, and de-certify it.

That is the only posibble redress. Why would you do it as 1st order of business? To get the result to Pence.

Or it could just mean that they plan to draft legislation at some point to ensure that it doesn't happen again. In fact, the resolution pretty much says exactly this:

Maybe the Wisconsin legislature will in fact decertify the Democrat electors, but nothing in the resolution indicates that. The twitter post linked to the resolution and sold it as "Wisconsin Legislature to introduce resolution to decert state and award it to Trump on Thursday; first order or business." This is false.

Well you just made my day, no wonder National Guard being deployed for all the nuts in Madison.

I'm from Wisconsin, lots of good, down to earth people there, that are super straightforward, glad to see they're standing up to the libs there.
