I think I just figured something out... Remember cash for clunkers?
12 years ago, Obama announced a program to jump start our economy, and get people into new cars... New cars with engine management systems built into the radios, that can be remotely shut off!
This is from 2009: [link to abcnews.go.com (secure)]

And the old cars, that can't be remotely turned off, got crushed. In fact, ALL the parts, of the cars turned in, had to be destroyed! The engines drained of oil, coolant drained, and they ran the engines full throttle until they blew up.

They wanted to get rid of the vehicles that they couldn't turn off...

When the time is right, and all the Pieces are in place, they're gonna flip a switch, and nobody's going anywhere... They thought of everything!

All newer cars can either be shut down with BBJ's Black Box Jammers or completely taken over with OnStar, ect

Cash for clunkers was all about getting the older non controllable vehicles off the road

All? They got like 5% of pre 2005 cars off the road. The plan didn't work otherwise they'd still be doing the program.

They didn't get 'em all. I had a 95 bronco that I traded in in 2011 for a new truck. A guy that worked at the dealership bought my bronco.

But that was 12 years ago.

They only needed a small percentage back then, to make a huge shortage 12 years later.

Hmmmmm...

You might be onto something with this.

Also could be they were trying to get rid of vehicles that could survive an EMP attack.

Quite interesting.

I'm wondering if this isn't a clue as to how they plan on keeping People who plan on fighting, from mobilizing.

Or people from fleeing once they start rounding people up...

Holy crap, that's it isn't it? To keep people from fleeing.

They didn't even offer to buy 95% of my fleet. Guess I'll have plenty of cars for sale that can't be shut down remotely. For the right price of course.

No, the cars that were traded in went right to the crusher!

The engines destroyed, and absolutely NO PARTS could be taken off, before the body was crushed... it was strict.

The engine management system is connected to the radio now.

And yes, they can shut the car engine off, Onstar had complete control of your car 10 years ago.

In fact several car chases where ended when Onstar disabled the vehicles during the chases.

you can't circumvent it.

it's built into the engine management system

you would need to be a computer programmer and completely bypass the computer

i understand this technology perfectly. electronics, ecu's, packet data etc.

im telling you the ability to remotely switch off a car is not in most vehicles at all.

it would be ovbious to those of us hacking the ecu's

there maybe telemetry data sending back to the manufacturer using radio waves.
