We're seeing a possible shallow earthquake swarm across the southern part of the island. The harmonic tremors are low but they're still there. If there were no eruption these tremors would be significant. It only seems like nothing because we all saw incredible harmonic tremors over the 89 days. I say, cautiously hopeful but it's too early to pack up and leave. Especially considering the level of energy underground and the volcano had her biggest eruption moments before she went quiet. |

Partially true. She did have her biggest ash cloud eruption on December 12th since the beginning - to a height of 7,300 meters or 24,000 feet. Looking at the USGS site, things look relatively quite on the West Coast. We don't have long to wait to see if his prediction is correct. |
