You have to fight fire with fire. It is not about stooping to their level. Right there is part of your problem. You think and act like you are above it all. No one is above it all. That is your ego telling you that. So if you could easily do those things you are accusing them of, then why not give it a try. Stop looking at it as being mean, but more part of a game.

To a lot of people this is sort of a game. It is a bonding experience and they have a since f humor about it. Make sure your "cut" has some humor and truth to it.
