IS THIS a new "trend" on GLP? Strange "pre-programmed smilie" posted with my own post! WTF?

I have had it happen many times here

a month or so ago I tried to say bad J-o-o J-U

and the system must have thought I was saying (Chewish) people

my words were replaced with (I am a sick racist) or some such thing... glitch or function? dunno

Pink and purple = Chinese or trans

I LOVE that meme with the little face and the
"I don't know what's going on"

I'm going to go copy and paste the A.C. ALTERATION to
my post in a thread yesterday too. (That should really
be addressed by the MODS because altering your own words
is a REAL NO-NO in my opinion!)

See if I can find it...The post between me and 1 other
member had been REWORDED and then posted as if we were
having a conversation about something and my friend
who was replying was swearing at me! That didn't happen
...it was so strange!

Yeah there must be something glitchy cuz what happened to me seems to be what you're describing.

I'm real sorry to see that happening to you ... you are one of the few members that I ALWAYS click into because you always contribute something interesting if not enlightening or inspirational

wouldn't warrant ANY KIND OF WORD-BAN...

It's a totally different kind of post change in my opinion
and was obviously, meant toward me personally. The person
is a total coward, of course, to just "sneak it" into
my OWN POST (so I wouldn't MISS IT.)

I think GLP members who POST ON THREADS THAT ARE...LET'S
SAY..."AGAINST THE MEDIA NARRATIVE"...CAN EXPECT THIS
FROM NOW ON.

I don't think the MODS will be able to "police" this...
and that's why I've brought it forward.

Bottomline...THIS CAN HAPPEN TO YOU if it happens to ME!

QUOTES within the thread. This person even NOTICES the

I will admit that the thread would be under the
category of "controversial" so that might be expected
to attract "trolls" who would want to mix-up-the-shit
in the thread. But still...I haven't come across this
blatant form of post manipulation in a long time.

And nobody mentioned in THAT QUOTE was part of altering
the conversation--that person went back AND ERASED THEIR
POST and put a "bump" in there instead...so it had to
be a MEMBER doing this.

If you guys want to talk about it between yourselves
with what "strange posts" you have seen on GLP lately,
have at it.

Just thought someone else may have had the same thing
happen...and I have seen that it DOES HAPPEN to others
as well. So my question is answered.

I would change your account password immediately. The most likely scenario is that your account has been compromised.

The only other explanation I can think of is a rogue moderator editing your post, but I don't think that's very likely, especially since admins should be able to trace that action.

For the record, please don't let that message impact your presence on this site. Your caption contests are some of the few threads where nastiness doesn't generally intrude.

Bring up actual text elements. Edit them to whatever.

Im assuming your not actually replying, but making a new post and copy/pasting the elements so it appears like you are quoting someone, but with whatever message you want?

The serious ramifications here are that the black hats could alter our words on dormant threads and we may never notice, but if they put racist or threatening words in, we could go to prison and/or they could close down glp. Yikes.
