It will be worse that dissappointment. Some will believe that God lied to them, but He did not. People who said that they knew the scriptures well lied to them. And for failure to ask Jesus directly about this, they believed the lies of men. This will cause some to fall away.

And many of the leaders and pastors who misled the people will have a lot of explaining to do. Those seeker friendly churches may have some people willing to beat and occasionally kill their own leadership for this "misunderstanding".

Well there is a rapture, 7 years + 40 days after the start of the tribulation period. We already know when it is to the day. We just don't know the exact start date of the sequence but once we see that, we will know the date then.

Rev 12 (1260 days 1st half) + Dan 12 (1335 Days) = 2595 days when saints are lifted off the earth. Up in haven for the wedding for about 1 year ({Day of the Lord) then return to earth in Rev 19:11.

Days of Noah 7 days in ark (7 years) + 40 days/nights rain = 2595 days when Noah's ark was lifted off the earth. Above the earth for about 1 year then return to the ground.

There are rules for interpreting the word day as it applies to the end times and within the final millennium designated by the 7th day from the 1st adam and 3rd day from the second Adam (Jesus 1 Cor 15: 45-47) 1 day = 1 year.

Edom, Moab, and Ammon are also mentioned in a prophecy from Daniel 11:41. The Beautiful Land is Israel, and the timing of this prophecy is during the Great Tribulation. The fact that Edom, Moab and the leaders of Ammon will be delivered from the anti-Christ’s hand indicates he will have intended to conquer them but will be unable to do so.

Based on existing conditions in the world today we would interpret this prophecy as pertaining to Jordan. But this could all change with the Battle of Psalm 83 when Edom, Moab, and Ammon could come under Israel’s control again. Is that what will prevent the anti-Christ from conquering them, or is there more to it?
