Anonymous Coward 12/08/2005 10:11 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | sorry mate... UK here. Nothing on the BBC. Their last info was on the 11th and then nothing. I agree with you on the guys on this forum. They do run around making a lot of noise about a load of crap on end of the world stuff, but when it comes to something real right in front of them they move along like a sheep. Can´t imagin for a moment that these guys would ever be taken for more than anything but noisy sheep. |

op 12/08/2005 10:11 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Just can´t believe it. There must be hundreds of so-called self made conspiracy dudes on this forum and not a single person has questioned why there is nothing on the subject. Maybe this subject (as real as it is) is not big enough for them. Or maybe for a change it is a true and real subject and that are why they all keep well away from it. |

Crusader 12/08/2005 10:11 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Actually there are updated images of B-15A´s fate. It was crashed onshore only a few miles before the ice tongue and fractured several hundred square miles of sheet ice. Further splintering, perhaps including the Drygalski Tongue itself, may occur as B-15A continues to impact on the ice-shelf. [link to earthobservatory.nasa.gov] |

locomotion 12/08/2005 10:11 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | OP - I came to the internet today specifically to look for updates on B15A, lo and behold nothing newer than the Jan 14 updates. I´ve tried google, and all the links kindly provided on this thread. NADA, all images and reports are older than today, except ABC report dated Jan 15, but no info on the events due ´later in the day´. I changed the date in latest link to ´15´, no image available yet. Why not? that was yesterday´s image. This is being kept under wraps. If this show is so big it can best be seen from space, then show it to us. Much happening in the Southern Hemisphere, as in the Northern. The lack of reporting of the ´big event´ after such a buildup tells me whatever happened is not good, and must be cleaned up a bit before the reporting/images are allowed. BTW for those who seem to despise the ´woo-woo´ factor on GLP (your term, not mine ;) here´s a link: www.totallymundanesameoldshit.com You won´t get anything when you go there, but you don´t seem to ´get´ anything at GLP either! |

op 12/08/2005 10:11 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | as i said before. I am unhappy that almost no one questioned as to why there has been no update. And worst than that when I mentioned it, no one was intrested. There are a lot of conspiracy about ufo´s etc and every one keeps going on and on about. Some of these are so farfetched and yet they keep going on about it. This iceberg is real and the story has something important to say. The story was on this forum in full blast 5 days ago and every one talked about the 15th. Now that it has come and gone, no one has dared to ask, "what happened?". that is sad. |

As is its standard practice, the U.S. National Science Foundation has again censored legitimate, true information coming out of Antarctica, to further its own ends, rather than serving the scientific principles of openness and honest inquiry. |

Mrdjs7 12/08/2005 10:11 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Art Bell last night said that the "Rumor" was that the U.S. team down there were requesting emergency evacuation as the "Burg" was coming and they didn´t want to be around when it hit. The "Rumor" also was that they were requesting the Russian Ice Breaker that was in the area. Dunno what the latest is though. Art said last night what everyone else has said and that is there should be a collision by the 15th. Probably have to listen to Art Bell tonight to get any more info. He seemed to be on the ball to get any/all relevant info about it. |

Hmmmm 12/08/2005 10:11 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The NASA site says that it "ran aground" and turned so that it would just miss the tongue of ice it was supposed to hit. A blogger from McMurdo´s last entry was Jan. 12th when she says she was supposed to have flown out the day before but weather prevented a plane getting in. She hopes to fly out the next day. I got these and other sites typing in "iceberg+McMurdo" in Google. |
Anonymous Coward 12/08/2005 10:11 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Look scientists aren´t gods. They predicted that it would take a collosal ice berg 35 years to melt once it broke off into the sea. It took only 55 days. And you think they can correctly predict an ice berg collision moving at rate of 15km a day? |
