Obama tells Indiana - No Pork in the Stimulus Bill

I saw much of his town hall meeting in Elkhart, Indiana.

He had the nerve to tell those poor, jobless people there were no pork barrel projects in the bill and that 90% of it is for job creation.

And those poor suckers applauded him instead of screaming and howling with laughter. There is nothing in that bill that is going to re-employ all those who made RV's for a living and are now out of work and all the businesses they supported whose employees are also now out of work.

He didn't offer to buy vans from those plants for the government or the military and each buys all sorts of vans.

650 some pages of all the wet dreams of the democrats for the past 3 decades are in that bill. Volumes of pet projects and money to be given to the states for all their overpriced projects.

There is even money for a Mob Museum in Vegas. Well, at least the water park somewhere in Florida got taken out.

Why wasn't there even one person in that audience who had the nerve to ask: Have you and everyone else in DC lost their collective minds thinking that borrowing that much money is not going to take generations to pay off?

And on Friday, he took all the Census work out of the Department of Commerce where how it is conducted has to be monitored and held accountable to Congress and put it all into the hands of his Chief of Staff who doesn't have to answer to anyone but him.

There was no reason to do this. The ten year census taking is one of the few things the federal government has managed to do well over the decades. Why the change and White House grab for it.

Will the ACORN people be doing the census?

So much for transparency.
