gypsy heart User ID: 958186 Canada 06/18/2010 06:10 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | female scored 18 I was surprised considering I generally don't like to socialize but know how to do it well and imagine that is what balanced it out. Just don't want to have to socialize with people I don't enjoy and come to find out there are so few people I really enjoy communicating with and so many people I have to communicate with. lol. If the average test scores were around 16, representing neuro typical adults and above 32 means a person is non neural typical, What does it mean if a person is well below the 14 score, say a 5 or 6? call me curious. ~*~ gypsy heart |

Sounds like all the smart/introverted people I know. The worst thing I see is that you "lack empathy." Everything else may be a little socially awkward but why is that bad? It seems to mean that you don't really care to adopt certain social rituals. Am I missing something? Or is intelligence considered a mental illness? Is it dangerous or harmful? Empathy is not a ritual. Empathy is to feel for the person that just got run over by a car and is crying in pain. Non empathy is to give a fuck. Aspergers is more like ... i see, that is what people look like when they feel pain, i should remember that expression if a social situation comes around where it may be necessary to act like feeling pain. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1002396 United States 06/18/2010 06:25 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | male/34, scored 37 its interesting that recently i had the notion that i might have the slightest touch of autism, and synchronicities like this post have been following me around in force since then. i was fully vaccinated as a child and it would explain a lot. i generally avoid social situations, but can perform reasonably well when they are necessary--sometimes though, the conversation will just drop off because i dont know what else to say, and sometimes i also get the distinct feeling that i may have missed some subtle but vital emotional cue. |

gypsy heart User ID: 958186 Canada 06/18/2010 06:31 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Wow thats interesting I scored a 32 and my husband and daughter both have Aspergers. hmmmmm. Quoting: Beanzpsuedo symptoms aren't uncommon among people with a.d.d. and adhd and other non neural typical brain types. If you didn't have traits as a child or teen and developed them as an adult it may be a result of association from the environment. Little is known about psuedo symptoms, i'm not saying you have psuedo symptoms, but it's something of interest. My husband has a.d.d. and through the years I took on some of his a.d.d. traits through associated environment, communication and difficulty to communicate in ways he could grasp. When I take a solo trip for a month the syptoms leave me. It's easy to compare that way. A study out of Harvard claims that high chemicals in food shows it may increase a.d.h.d.and other non neuro typical related brain activities among children. I would love to see psyche evaluations on them. I wonder if that would represent the prophet deliverer types or where on this type of scale they fall? just curious. If you could find a test on that I'd love to run that past some of the glp deliverers. Better yet, I wonder where the glp sociopath killer deliverer types fall on this scale. Jessica6 User ID: 1007757 Canada 06/18/2010 06:44 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | 9 It would probably have been lower except I was 'slightly agree' on some of the more solitary things. I'm not anti-social, just don't like stupid people. Have no problem reading them though. Also, I get very bored by repetition, which is something - as far as I understand at least - that autistic/asperger people like. And numbers? Couldn't give a crap. Both my husband and my mother always complain about how disorganized I am - I can barely even categorize anything. At the same time, I'm never late, never miss appointments or anything important and rarely misplace anything. The urge to save humanity is always a false front for the urge to rule it. - HL Mencken |
