NICT Magnetosphere Guide For Solar Watchers (service eneded)

Hey NiNzrez,

Here's another solar imaging site to add to the list. Looks like a great place to grab screenshots and/or make movies of solar flares.

Here's a recent example from Helioviewer of the M3.5 event on 2011/02/24 07:23:00UTC:

It was from 1163 on the western side of the sun
and it's rotating twords earth right now
an area to watch for sure
along with the huge coronal hole

keep monitoring ACE data because that's what's used for this simulation as input...

The image on there is from 9:05 UTC this morning
It has not updated all day
and the ACE, where nict gets their data from, has been on and off all day long
I'm not sure whats going on with all the sporadic data

the nict site still has not updated since yesterday morning
it seems to be frozen at 09:04 UTC

Right now ACE is reporting conditions @ 17:04 UTC:

Solar Wind = 360.6
Density = +1.3
Bz = -0.8
By = +3.4
Ion Temp = 9.98e+04

They must notice the increase in hits to the site,...
