Trying to teach my daughter to THINK for herself and not just BELIEVE what a teacher says is hard but it is starting to sink in. Amazing since she is almost 15 and this is usually when the parents are idiots.

funny just after my collage days. i worked at the McCater theatre in Princeton. before he died Einstein used to go and sit back stage during the shows...he like to watch the back stage view best.

he would write comments on the wall back stage. i was very sad when they renovated the theater and replaced that wall.

VERY interesting. (interesting tidbit of info...Einstein and Velikovsky had many discussions on Velikovsky's theories and became close friends...einstein tended to disagree with him, but when Einstein was found dead, he had a copy of Velikovsky's "Worlds in Collision" open on his desk...

Thats very interesting,makes you realize the possibilities if we just open our minds to them. Carl Sagan believed in other life forms, he didn't believe that any had visited our system and professed this quite openly, but its reported that he was feverishly studying all available intel on this subject right before his death.

I, too, can whole-heartedly recommend these books as well. Worlds in Collision helped relate ideas that had been tumbling around in my noggin seperately for decades. I wish I would have stumbled across his works many years before I did.

The temps here in the southeast have finally cooled enough to do a few 'projects' that I'd been putting off. Even seems to be a touch of fall in the air... I'm still here checking in fairly often, just not much time to post atm.

I appreciate all of y'all who help out with this thread keeping us updated.

Now, back to work with Velikovsky, Jung, Tesla, Maxwell, and Einstein conversing over coffee in my head. Tesla opted for water as he doesn't like stimulants.

The University of Colorado Boulder will play a key role in a NASA mission launching this week to study how space weather affects Earth's two giant radiation belts known to be hazardous to satellites, astronauts and electronics systems on Earth.
The Radiation Belt Storm Probes, or RBSP, mission will study the invisible, doughnut-shaped regions above Earth known as the Van Allen radiation belts that are filled with high- energy electrons and protons, some of which are darting at roughly the speed of light. CU-Boulder, which will receive more than $18 million from NASA over the mission lifetime, designed and built an instrument to capture and measure the high-energy, or "killer," electrons and an intricate electronics package for another instrument suite to measure changes in the electric and magnetic fields in the belts.
