We had a CME on the 24th, filament liftoff that you know about, CME today, looks like 2 fired and now atmospheric studies are saying these giant storms(thunderstorms) are leaving holes in our ozone for easier solar energy absorption! It seems to me we have a magnetic connection for all solar events anymore,constant energy flow! Peace I've read about the same possibilty,it could be..when the Core does begin going haywire I am pretty sure we would see small periods of time where we have two Magnetic Norths/Souths that last very short periods of time,this should have been noticed already and may have been..must search. The thing with Earths' Core is 'What is its' main driver'? I personally think it winds up like a dynamic gyroscope caused by the relative movements of the Planets as they Orbit as well as the Sun itself and it's North/South..I wonder what,if anything happens to our Magnetosphere as the Solar Poles complete their migration? A little temoporary short circuit of our Magnetosphere via the IMF? Pondernation. (Edit:is someone playing with comments on Glp,changing the spelling etc?) I think so,I must say I can't remember noticing it until about 2 Months back but I am sure it must be just a artifact of the simulation and not actually present : ) Where are the GOES Satellites gone on the the Simulation though?
