Yes,I just read a first hand account from someone in Scotland that saw this also.

Apparently broke up into many smaller chunks.

Sounds like quite a sight!

Hey, I just saw a bolide a/k/a fireball shooting from near Cassiopeia towards the NW. It was a bright bluish white one. Pretty cool. I actually filed a report with the American Meteor Society. I've seen a lot of meteors before but didn't know where to report them. Here's a link to bookmark for future reference of meteor showers and how to report sightings:

Interesting, the enlil geoeffective model updated overnight and now shows the dense CH stream hitting at around 05:00 UTC Sept 21, or 18 hours ago [link to www.swpc.noaa.gov] . We do see a roughly 5/cm3 density arc at that time [link to www.swpc.noaa.gov] . Possibly the forecast of a 20/cm3+ density spike was erroneous and a dud? lol

Ion Density hit a max of around 15Cm3 around that time - I was updating the info here as it came in.

Do you think that may have been what I was seeing?

Having said that the Density has been rippling again in the last 10(ish)updates which may foretell another arrival yet.

I'm throwing out an old theory here. The recent LARGE backside CMEs have hit a union field with our planet and the energy has enveloped us and hasn't hit us directly. This postulation would explain the lack of dense plasma but still explain the wind pick up, no protons or electrons but an enveloping wind and magnetopause disturbance. Just throwing this out there as its been brought up before

In addition,

The geomagnetic field is expected to be quiet to unsettled on September 21-22 due to weak effects from CH536.

Guess we'll have to wait and see .

Also I like this from spaceweather.com:

Not that the sun has been quiet, only it's earth facing side has been quiet haha tounge

The first was Incredible,Orange and Green Fireball that did'nt look like it was going to stop until it blew itself apart into about 6 - 10 smaller pieces that burnt deep Red until fading out to only leave what actually looked like a smoke trail!

The whole event lasted for about 4-6 Seconds, though it's hard to tell - it felt like slow motion becuase I actually thought it was going to land on the Flats I can see from my Window,it came that low!

None of the others have been as spectacular but all have been a thrill to see.

I am pretty sure that the SW and other effects monitored on this [link to ccmc.gsfc.nasa.gov] site since about the 18th have been due to the combination of the Three CH's including the transequitorial CH536,that would explain the fluctuations in the By/Bz,Ion Densities,Temperature Spikes and Steady Solar Wind.

They show CH winds on the Enlil model?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 12844841

That's my question, I've never seen it before.
 Quoting: TS66

Yeah, Enlil models the solar wind streams (the spirals you can see imaged). You can see on the model how the spiral hitting us on the 22nd is far more dense than usual. Thus the spike in forecasted readings for that time.

Also, the catch-all Enlil model is currently displaying one of those far side CME's. Looks pretty fast. [link to iswa.gsfc.nasa.gov:8080]
 Quoting: madajs

Please indulge me and understand my confusion. We are most effected by the solar winds, density, and temp of a Coronal Hole as it faces earth, a direct influence so to speak.

This spiral has been spinning for, and it's hit has been predicted by the Enlil model for at least 5 days, and without the Enlil models available prior to the 17th, we have no date of origin !!! So that would mean that this solar wind originated from a random CH as early as the 14th, 15th, or 16th ??? It just doesn't make sense.

That is not typical of any Coronal Hole Solar Wind I have ever seen.

If CH536 earth facing at this moment were to send solar winds right now they would be felt within 24 hours, not 6 or 7 days from now.
 Quoting: TS66

Hi TS, not sure if this related but, if I recall correctly, 2 Min news guy showed THREE coronal holes a few days ago, they may have given us some solar wind, then closed up.

Re: SOLAR WATCH * Huge X8.2 Flare Sept. 10, 2017! (Updated Daily)
This would explain yesterdays Kp4 according to the US Commerce Dept.

IIA. Geophysical Activity Summary 19/2100Z to 20/2100Z:
The geomagnetic field was at predominately quiet to unsettled levels
with a period of active conditions observed between 19/2100 - 2400Z.
The period began with wind speeds, as measured at the ACE
spacecraft, steady at 400 km/s while the Bz component of the
interplanetary magnetic field (IMF) was mostly south at about -10
nT. At about 19/2300Z, wind speed and temperature indicated slight
increases while IMF Bz began fluctuating between +8 to -6 nT. By
about 20/0100Z, the phi angle changed from a positive (away) to a
negative (toward) orientation. These changes were all indicative of
a co-rotating interaction region in advance of a coronal hole high
speed stream.
By the end of the period, wind velocities were steady
at about 575 km/s while IMF Bz did not vary much beyond +/- 2 nT.
 Quoting: TS66

I'm sure you remember this from the 16th....from the Spaceweather.com TimeMachine. If you scroll down to the coronal hole diagram on the left margin, you can see the position of 3 coronal holes spread apart by latitude and longitude. They don't always line up neatly with the Parker Spiral streams and the ambient SW, hence the "co-rotating interaction regions" (CIRS).

Re: SOLAR WATCH * Huge X8.2 Flare Sept. 10, 2017! (Updated Daily)
Show of hands - How many of the Solar Watchers have not seen at least One Fireball Meteor in the last Year?
 Quoting: Spittin'Cesium

I have not seen any fireball meteors in the last year? : )

Really?

I've seen 5!

Do you look upward much Trink?

LOL Oh SC always the character!! Just love that about you!

Do you see these during the day? That is awesome that you got to see them!

Oh and I try to look ahead or slightly up whenever possible, I have a neck injury so a little tough to do. Plus I live at the base of a mountain so all I see is well a mountain. lol

Much Love, hf
 Quoting: Tiny Trink

Ah,yes..living at the base of a Mountain may be a bit of an obstruction for sure.

But no,I have never seen one in the Day..if I did,or anyone did I'd surely panic.

This is an interesting presentation on solar plasma ending the last ice age. The rosicurians believe we suffer massive plasma outburst every 13,000 years, well this year is supposedly one of them.

“One of the saddest lessons of history is this: If we’ve been bamboozled long enough, we tend to reject any evidence of the bamboozle. We’re no longer interested in finding out the truth. The bamboozle has captured us. It’s simply too painful to acknowledge, even to ourselves, that we’ve been taken. Once you give a charlatan power over you, you almost never get it back.” – Carl Sagan
