HA-HA_HA Very funny graph....It was from the SE active region which we still can't see yet. It's been very active with 8 recorded C-flares from beyond the limb.

The North-Eastern Beauty is a Beauty for sure!

The huge Shield like Field Structure [link to sdo.gsfc.nasa.gov] that encompasses it is incredible and appears to be related to the recurrent Coronal Hole 536 [link to www.solen.info] .

If you watch some of the Movies here [link to sdodata.oma.be] you can see hot Plasmas being very slowly fed into that huge structure.

It looks incredible to me,also..this structure has been on the disc in the same location for quite a few rotations now.

But yes,that whole region has looked spectacular on the Movie files - Crackling Arcs a-plenty.

The solar wind speed has jumped from 400 km/s to near 550 km/s in the past few hours. We're surely inside the coronal hole wind stream now. Occasional pockets of higher density plasma and periods of a South Bz could spark up more auroras this evening.

now to see if these 2 rotating regions stay as active as they rotate into a Earth facing position
im going to sit here and sigh if they putz out like the others haha

they will tame down for 8 or so days whilst facing the Earth then blast off high-speed X-15's facing away like always.....there, that should sufficiently put the GLP effect in the dirt.

Howdy, NINz, I think we're in for a more active period. There's several more active hot spots due back within a week of these two. Most of the big filaments have been cleaned up now we're due for some big flare activity.

I just posted the exact same thing,lol,these seem to be firing on all cylinders, if they go dormant well then we need to start looking a little more into this.
