Consider this hypothetical situation. A French ambassador has a child while visiting The United States of America. Is that child automatically considered a United States citizen merely from the fact that he was born here? No. Citizenship is confered from the parents to the child. The child would be French.

What if only one parent is a US citizen? Who determines which parent's country takes precedence? The child would properly be half native to each parents country. As the intent of the U.S. constitution's "natural born" requirement was to ensure that candidates did not have any divided loyalties but were wholey 100% loyal to the United States of America and no other, this presents a problem for the child of two worlds.

Obama's American mother was not loyal to America. She married men from two other countries and lived with them and raised her child with them in those different countries. Obama went to school at one point in a place that required British citizenship... a third country. Now, it's not Obama's fault that his mother didn't think enough of her US citizenship or his that she drug him around the world, but Obama was at one point determined to be a British citizen and to my knowledge he has never renounced it.

Obama's loyalties are divided. He is not eligible to be President of the United States because of it and his disdain for our constitution in this and many other violations he has perpetraited on it while in office is plenty evidence of that.

Obama is not fit to be President of the United States and must be impeached.

just to chime in, don't forget he was also partly raised in Indonesia and adopted by his Indonesian father and became an Indonesian citizen. He was not completely raised in the US.

also you call him black but was he actually raised by any black people at all? People tend to forget his momma and grandparents where white.

Am going from memory so correct me if I am wrong.

Before Obama won the selection process there was a bill introduced supposedly for McCains benefit. Obama was part of that team as was Clair Mc Caskll. They tried to slip in wording other than a natural born citizen and that wordage was eliminated.

Anyone at all remember or can find a link?

Read somewhere else that it's not showing up because the phrase has a compound adjective which dictionaries don't recognize as a word. Try searching any phrase with compound adjectives. I've tried a few, and the "word" comes up not found. Is there any proof that "natural born citizen" was ever in these online dictionaries??

Anyway look at all the links and type in "Natural Born". You will find that most of them will contain the meaning.

There's alot of disinformation going around about this topic. And if there's alot of disinformation on this topic, there is a reason for it.

I agree. People are jumping all over this without PROOF that "natural born citizen" was ever in these dictionaries in the first place. The only proof is that the OP said so. Furthermore, it is a phrase which generally are not listed as headwords in dictionaries.

Just went to Mirriam webster online dictionary.

1. Typed "Natural citizen" into the search. It was not recognized, instead the search offered me "natural selection".

2. Typed "Natural Born". I was directed to a page claiming that if I wished to see the definition for "Natural-born" (note hyphen included here), that I would have to sign up for an account.

3. Typed "Naturalized". I received a complete and accurate set of definitions for the word, no membership required.

4. Typed "Natural-born" (hyphen included this time in search box). Sent to "sign up" screen.

It is a free 14 day trial, but you need a credit card. I COULD do this, BUT, not sure if I want to leave that particular breadcrumb.
