All arrangements are in place for arrivals to Rome.

Today we were given new orders after fulfillment of the arrangements.


137 reservations are to be made to 137 of the 195 dioceses in the US. The travelers are 99 clergy and 38 swiss guard. They will arrive on Oct. 1-4. They will be carrying diplomatic pouches.


Long story short, some message is being delivered. Now the Vatican has a cable system for encoding messages, so whatever these messages are, they are deemed too important for cable. In the past we have done this (we know about the diplomatic pouches because special arrangements for security are made), but we only did a handful here and there. This is very odd, and must be very important. This is air travel only, they will be staying with the churches or in safe houses.

On rare occasion the pouches contain ceremonial items, contracts, legal papers or even on rarer occasions relics(I am told). I have no idea what these will hold, but we have never done this many at once. We believe it to be a message for those to be left behind.

I am a layperson working for Opera Romana Pellegrinaggi ran by Father Atuire. It is the travel agency for the vatican. I work out details for bookings for flights and hotels for employees of the church(priests, students, laypersons, invited guests, etc). The Vatican last week ordered us to get travel arrangements for ALL Archbishops from around the world to Rome. They are to be in Rome by Oct. 10, through the 24. They indicated that if they arrive after the 17th, they are not to come and stay with their clergy.

Both recalling all the bishops and mandating the date and not to come if you miss the date has NEVER happened before. It should be noted, Elenin will be closest Oct. 17.

In the last two weeks we did make arrangements for an individual from Cincinnati Ohio, a company called Wornick. Fwiw they make MREs and military food. They travelled to Rome and met with individuals in Vatican finance for two days.

Could be the Vatican is buying MREs for Africa... But then they wouldn't need Vatican officials traveling back to Cincinnati today for that would they.
