Re: We Are Not From The Milky Way Galaxy/ Scientists Prove We're Part Of A Galaxy Merging With The Milky Way!
I have read about this in 2003. The Sagittarius Dwarf galaxy had been missed because it was visible only in the infarred.

I was not aware for sure that we are Sagittarians instead of Milkywayians, but it does make sense. This is interesting because if true, it could be the first time entering the Milky way ecliptic. The filament connecting our sun with the Milkyway galactic center (birkeland currents) will be going from a lower potential Galaxy to the higher potential of the Milkyway with unknown results.

I wounder why there hasent been more information on this item??????

Yeah well when you just take a bit of a deeper look, the astronomers who did the study NEVER claim that we are from the dwarf galaxy. They just theorize that such a dwarf galaxy is present, total psuedoscience from "viewzone".

Knew I was right from my reading of the FACTS IN MOTION of our solar system, AND the fact that we are bobbing in and out of the galactic arm.

Re: We Are Not From The Milky Way Galaxy/ Scientists Prove We're Part Of A Galaxy Merging With The Milky Way!
Completely wrong. For one thing, it's not a mystery why the galactic plane is inclined to the ecliptic plane, stars form with random orientations. There's absolutely no reason to expect them to form with their planets' orbital planes aligned to the galactic plane. That's why random stars will have their planets transiting in front of them from our perspective, while others present their system's plane essentially "face-on" to us. And in case you think the ones whose orbital planes are "edge-on" to ours indicating that they too are not aligned with the milky way plane are other systems from the Sagittarius dwarf as well, they're not; just take a look at the orientations of the protoplanetary disks in the Orion nebula. Some are edge on, some aren't, it's all random and those newly-forming systems are forming in a nebula that is part of the milky way galaxy just like us.

That brings me to my next point, which is that we are definitely not part of the Sagittarius dwarf galaxy. Our solar system's motion relative to the galactic plane and to the Sagittarius dwarf is incompatible with that claim. Our solar system's velocity is contained almost entirely in the V vector, perpendicular to the Sagittarius dwarf and within the milk way's galactic plane.

"Thus (Fig. 2) the motions of Sgr stars within this plane are almost entirely contained in their Galactic U and W velocity components, whereas the V motions of stars in the Sgr tidal tails almost entirely reflect solar motion."
[link to www.astro.caltech.edu]

The U V W velocity of our solar system is 10.1, 224, 6.7 km/sec as can be seen here:
[link to ej.iop.org]
(taken from here: [link to iopscience.iop.org] )
That means we're not part of the sagittarius stream as we do not share a common motion of travel at all.

: )

Funny how people will get on even with vehement aggression on a topic where they think they know...

Actual University of Virginia linked is old news & dated September 24, 2003.

Lead scientists and the 2MASS Infrared All Sky Survey team performed invaluable service in uncovering the new supercomputer sorted star map galactic loop but did not make the discovery of what it meant to us in our time ( finally reveals to man the true meaning of the ouroboros btw )

Symbol:

[link to www.fourmilab.ch]

[link to mindofchampions.com]

Lead scientist was responding to flood of inquiries supposedly about a discovery made by them which they could not answer for so they were forced to take the opposing refuting view.

Viewzone lifted the article contents without consult or permission from M. Erwin Future Knowledge Update Discovery Blog as discovery was made in 2006 and registered with Harvard Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics.

Scientist originally made light of the idea in print that our galaxy was devouring a smaller one...

turned out that we are the snack : )

* No one has been able to refute the findings to date with all the supporting subsequent studies out of the mainstream.

This was an independent discovery that made it out even though an initial quash attempt was made. Lead scientist has since published the statement:

[ NASA/ JPL podcast 09/07/07 ]

"We don't know the basic things about our place in the galaxy, our sun's place in the galaxy."

[link to planetquest.jpl.nasa.gov]

When the validating supporting discoveries were made and released a year later (as result of funding released when Gates and think tanks were written directly by registered discoverer M. Erwin) these additional discoveries (echoed by mainstream findings) that our star could not have originated from the Iron based genesis earlier thought, but rather an Aluminum based instead, as well as the finding by the Voyager spacecraft that "we are not even traveling in the same direction as the Milky Way" made it plain.

It is understandably an unsettling environment for those with Astrophyics degrees since their knowledge base is continually disrupted with new discoveries happing so fast and released directly over the internet that neither they nor the textbooks can keep up.

You could sigb up for a university degree and still be taught things about the Milky Way that have since been updated:

When one begins a search effort to determine the current state of humanity's understanding of the astro-sciences, it becomes apparent that such new discoveries can be happened upon and then be reported in some obscure area of the internet that completely supersedes all other related discoveries and published data on the topic while the earlier incorrect data remains up for and taught perhaps-- years and goes uncorrected in either the textbooks or the bulk of the internet sites...

*Such is even the case with things as large as the 200 billion star Milky Way galactic structure being discovered some time ago to be completely lopsided with no spiral arms branching out from the other side-- and all data to the contrary still remains and is even taught:

"has extra long arms sprouting out on one side and is warped and armless on the other." [DISCOVERY CHANNEL] [PIC: NASA]

[link to dsc.discovery.com]

The breakthroughs in science are coming now so rapidly that even at this very moment-- most astro-science personnel that could be consulted for comment on even the first two mainstream science sourced breakthrough discoveries listed above (that) have now fully "undone" all related textbook science all the way back to Copernicus-- may not have had ample opportunity to be properly updated on these and actually able to be definitive in any related statements issued.

NOTE: A recent incredible discovery has also uncovered the fact that man has also been basically incorrect in much of the basic measurement analysis for much of our distant Hubble telescope astronomy to date:

"Universe actually shines twice as bright as astronomers had thought, a discovery that will lead to a massive reevaluation of space images."

"A lot of conclusions will have to be revised, notably about the evolution of galaxies."

"...in fact only half the energy produced by stars actually reaches our telescopes directly, the rest is blocked by dust grains."
