Dude, I thought the comet that hit the sun on oct 1 was a direct hit. Where as this comet tomorrow only grazes the sun. You think it'll be a direct hit? (nice ride)

I don't know, but it will come close enough that Im pretty sure The Sun will react. What that reaction will be is anyone's guess. The gravity of the Sun will be pulling pretty hard on it. My opinions really don't count for much because the Experts already are saying it will just be a pretty light show.

Yesterday a very small comet went into the Sun and it looked like the sun reacted to it even before impact. If that one caused a reaction and the one on Oct 1st hat an even larger reaction, ...

Nice Video. Looked like the Sun shot a CME directly at the comet. The Sun took out Elenin too. Must be some kind of natural defense system. I hope we can see the comet.

I've been looking all over, and likely missed it, but.... When exactly is perihelion? Is it today, the 15th, at 7:00pm EST? I'm tired of looking and not finding the answer.
