Re: Another house burned down, Firefighters watched again..
So what do these firefighters do before they go to a structure fire? Lookup the info to see if the people have paid their bill?

Couldn't they have just done their jobs and then asked for the 75 dollars?

Surely the house was worth more than 75 bucks.

This is stupid.

To let someone's house burn to the ground while the firefighters all stand around and watch is an insult.

What has happened to America? It used to be that people would help each other when bad things happen, now they just stand around and say "tough shit, lady... you didn't pay your bill".

What BULLSHIT.

These idiots should all be FIRED.

Fair enough. I'm assuming that had lives been at risk the men would have saved a person trapped inside but the homeowner chose not to pay for their fire fighting services knowing that they had stood by and watched a house burn the year before. The firemen did the right thing.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 6686842

bullshit

you don't take people's WORD for it that there's no-one in there.

you put the fire out and find out for yourself that it's clear.

it's a fucking disgrace that things like this happen in a so called 'civilised' country.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 6644044

well you do have a point about not taking anyones word on whether or not someone is inside.

and for all we know they did check.
 Quoting: MrOysterhead

This is true. If you have a few folks outside claiming the house is empty and you later find a body.....probably was more going on than just a simple accidental house fire.
 Quoting: Tawandaaaa

This brings about a great point. Fire Investigations are typically a warrantless search based on exigent circumstances. If a fire occurs and the fire department declines to enter the building, there is no exigency and the right to enter would no longer exist.

A house fire in itself is not a criminal act and unless they have administrative warrants that apply to fire dept in that state, I would highly doubt that probable cause could be established in order to articulate a criminal warrant.

It's possible that something very bad could happen in one of these fires and be easily covered up.

How come we could spend $ 40 BILLION on air conditioning last year for our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan but somehow we can't fund volunteer fire departments? I'm sure it'd take just a billion or two to do that ... but our priorities in this country are all wrong. We've become no better than a Third World country ...

How about this example: Return those fucking snow cone machines and pay for fire department services.

Anyone who supports such a thing is the same thing as a demon to me, and a groupee of the bankers, royal families and PTB, and I would never support any of their incentives for I consider them in need of Love, Compassion, Equality, to go along with that Freedom.

In other words if they want people to rise up and stop anything, nada. I would never support people who would only redo the inequal corrupt system again due to programming.

They're all going to face everyone in the end.

Freedom is interesting. Some consider it to mean: Freedom of a small privileged group to make everyone else stand under them and their pyramid scheme ideas of social darwinism.

Freedom to me means: Freedom from corruption, slavers, bankers, money, pyramid systems and intrinsic equality, wherein one may move where they wish and be free to express themselves in a safe, equal ideal system, with basic common laws, no controlling corporate laws, etc.

Any fire department that would do this should be behind bars.

Firefighters WATCHED again? So they waste the fuel in those big gas hog firetruck so they can stand there and watch? They will spend $100 in gas but not fight the fire because of a $75 dollar fee? What is the logic?pennywise

That's nothing here in Los Angeles they take 2 truck (1 is that big ole ladder truck) and 4 men to go grocery shopping. Why not just take the squad car and two men. If a fire breaks out they meet the other guys at the fire.

I heard this story earlier and that $75 fee baffled me. Why charge that, unless the money is real important to the city. Then again here its about 1,500 if 9/11 takes you to the hospital in an emergency!
$$$$ is what its all about.
On the other hand, i can see if all the home owners in that community KNEW this fee, and didnt pay it, then they knew of the circumstances.

You will see the deadbeats paying up real fast now.
I guess it is as it is.

IN DECEMBER OF 1964 I LOST MY TWO YOUNGER SISTERS IN A FIRE AS THE FIRE FIGHTERS MADE A
BIG MISTAKE. ALL THREE OF US WERE DOA TO THE HOSPITAL BECAUSE OF THE PRAYS OF OTHERS I LIVE.

I AND EVERYONE IN THE WORLD DO NOT WANT TO SEE THIS AGAIN.
SOME ONE IN THAT SICK FIRE DEP. NEEDS TO GO TO JAIL. All in that
local government need to to be run out of town.

This is just how sick OUR government has gotten. IN GOD WE TRUST
should be on the front door of every School in this Nation that
i pray stays UNITED in that UNITED WE STAND IN GOD WE TRUST when
the wicked are aloud to be in OUR government this is what happens.
WE THE PEOPLE need to stop letting the wicked in office. Let us
all vote this coming election for the good that read the Bible
and live by our Lord's Word not the wicked kick them out of office.
All of them. We want to go to Heaven, they want to go to hell
Not on our dime.
