Re: How to spot a sociopath - 10 red flags
Workplace habits of a career sociopath--

Chooses and sucks up to allies (not “friends”) who are more powerful, or who he can use to further his aims, or who have something he can gain—especially money.

Constantly criticises others, and often criticises allies behind their back.

Says things that make no sense, gives people the feeling of walking on eggshells.

Treats his new recruits very favourably at first, and then gets bored with them.

Loves bullying, especially with someone more vulnerable or less powerful. Has and will use limitless resources for finishing someone professionally and mentally. Always has at least one he’s working on intensely.

Makes his victims feel guilty, useless, furious and frightened.

Occasionally says very charming things to people he is bullying—to keep them under his control.

Victims become too ill to work, are dismissed for misconduct, and the cycle starts again.

Thinks nothing of lying; his qualifications and experience are probably bogus.

Is above and outside of any rules, but tries to be seen to follow them when it suits him.

Sense of right and wrong dictated by what he can get away with.

Starts a project as Superman, runs it like Hitler, and then fails to finish.

Has infinite rationalisations to explain the results of his professional shortcomings— his failings are always someone else’s fault.

Failures covered up by chaotic reorganisations and bullsh*t.

Very adept at fooling others… Jobsworth people think he’s great. Some call him charismatic. No one wants to believe he’s as bad and stupid as he is.

The only people who really can recognise him are his victims.

The Psychopath The Mask of Sanity

In short, the psychopath - and the narcissist to a lesser extent - is a predator. Only real feelings they seem to have - the thing that drives them and causes them to act out different dramas for effect - is a sort of "predatorial hunger" for what they want.

Watch Charles Manson saying this at the 3:05 mark of this video:

Charlie Manson was a CIA project. Aileen Wuornos believed she was LE's pet project. I'm inclined to believe her... no matter how wild-eyed she appeared in her rant the day before she was put down.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1148772

I don't think Aileen was a sociopath, just a pissed off bitch.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 12539348

I didn't see her as a sociopath either. I think she was someone who had been shit on her entire life... and was a product of her environment. JMO. I also think had someone "rescued" her... fixed her teeth and shown her some respect... she would have turned into a very nice lady. JMO, again. But there's no justifying jobs or money with that type of personal endeavor, now is there???

blaming others instead of accept RESPONSIBILITY
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 17869939

Well I carried the responsibility and the blame for many years because I had no idea such a devil existed.Once I was made aware of how the chicken shits operate I have moved on in life and can actually enjoy it a bit for the first time ever.Never again will I tolerate a devil such as that and be belitted and made guilty so they can swoon over them self.
Sounds like you may be one yelling accept responsibility. That use to be his favorite come back when he would get caught in one of his nasty deeds.

Psycopaths are ten year old dinosaurs!

And they may eat any elephant, as they are bite sized.

Look, there is a teletubby over there. Papers please, teletubby!

putin why all the negativity on this forum i don't get it.
psychological labels are only descriptions of behavior that aid the psychologist in the treatment process. the labels are NOT and end in and of itself.

is it REASONABLE to put psychological labels on others and themselves except in therapy situations?

isn't it the same as calling someone a name like 'bitch' 'asshole' or 'jerk' ?

There is no known treatment or cure for this disorder.

""
Because you cannot change a psychopath, rehabilitation only makes them worse.

"They don't care. They don't think of themselves as psychopaths.

They don't think they are doing wrong. They just think they are smart and if everyone else had the same intelligence, they would do the same thing," says Clarke.

"When you rehabilitate them, you teach them social skills and show them how to deal with people appropriately.

They will then use those new social skills to better manipulate people."

""
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 16546691

THIS, If you are born with one arm, what is the treatment to normalize that condition? If you are born without conscience there is not transplant operation, or therapy to induce its emergence. Sociopaths are evolutionarily INTENDED, a small percentage in a population is survivavble and advantageous. No its not a lovely idea that evolution favors them to a degree but its reality, and its why they pop up. What if all of our society was forced into cannibalism to survive???? What members of the population would remain SANE enough from such an experience to continue on and be successful??? Not those of us with a conscience i promise.
 Quoting: Freud

Yes. It is important to look at what function they serve in the human zoo. Yesterday I spoke with a friend (re types that reach out just to make misery)about how cool it would be to have venom or sharp claws or wings or camoflage.

Still, no other species are actual predators to their own like humans are, considering the sheer scale of war and bloodthirstiness of that.
Oh, you'll see porpoise tormenting but not killing, examples like that when hormones are running high. I saw a docu about a mother chimp who murdered other chimps who was finally killed by hunters, and her daughter was relived and accepted by the tribe after that.

But what purpose do these insideous misery-makers serve and it's all on the psychological level mostly (not as psychopaths).
What purpose in an evolutionary sense since they ruin those who use reason and warmth. So are reason and warmth genetically undesireable from that point of view. I don't think that is the case.

People must eat snakes, dinosaurs may eat elephants.

People should not be elephants, and dinosaurs are not people.

People who eat snakes should not ride dinosaurs who eat elephants.

Elephants do not eat anything. If they did, it would cost too much.

Dinosaurs became sad because everyone was mean to them. They thought just because they were gigantic with thick skin and foot long teeth that they didn't understand love.

They thought that since they ate each other they were dumb and useless. Dinosaurs couldn't help that eating each other was a lot of fun.

Finally dinosaurs got tired of everyone being mean, so starting from the smallest up to the biggest, they all ate each other. The littlest one was eaten by the next biggest all the way up to the hugest dinosaur. The hugest dinosaur got even huger from all the dinos it ate, and it ate all other life, and then the entire universe.

We are all inside the hugest dinosaur right now. This is why seeing a dinosaur is such a rawrity.

This story is true because of elephants.

I want to understand sociopaths enough to learn skills handling them and recognize it early. There are so many. As well as shades of it.

I grow impatient when we point out all sorts of characteristics beyond the basic common ones. ie., professing as 'expert' and not being more objective some characteristics are not exclusive to this type.
Then it becomes a session of non-stop accusations on someone's 'faults' which sounds like endless nagging and whining. Know what I mean? There's this irish guy who does exactly that but offers no personal weaknesses of his own, so it's all about the Psychopath.

I felt the same way beginning 12 years ago with our country's outrageous rule-breaking and abandoning decency altogether.
We point at them taking the goods out the back door of the candy store in broad daylight, but we are left ineffectual and whiney.
We HAVE FEW ADAPTIVE SKILLS TO COUNTERACT ANYTHING.

So we mistake talk for action..all the time.

Until better labels are developed, a psycopath will always be someone who is better at you than everything you do, and thinks less of it than you would in his situation.

A sociopath is the same, but he didn't have to work to get there. It comes naturally.

Following you reasoning...

I think the naturalnews is trying to label everybody they don't like. But is it a good strategy? Will not spread hate? Ex.: "The Fed is run by Schemers."

I think NaturalNews is a great site with a essential service to human kind. But i disagree a little bit in this point.

not so.
Psychpathology is a general nonspecific term that means psychological pathology, but has been used in common parlance to indicate any imagined seriously mentally ill criminal. I dont think there is any 'official' designation as such in professional literature, DSM#.
A sociopath is simply one specific subset of psychopathology with a constellation of connecting features.

Any of you with a degree in this stuff that can actually bill for their opinions?

My paper square says that you need to eat this little pill many times. Days. Weeks even, Probably forever!

I have many people who will help you remember to eat this little pill. But you will need to give them paper squares.

You will need to make a lot of paper squares so I have arranged a paper square making activity for you. You must behave like all the other squares, because if you do not, you cannot afford the little pills.

If you cannot afford the little pills, you cannot make paper squares. And if you do not make paper squares, my big paper square will look silly. People will think I do not deserve it.

And they will take away my pills and little paper squares. And I will be just like you.

And then who helps me?

In dealing with psycho/sociopaths, (I am dealing with one now no kiddin')
What are their weak spots, the achilles heel, their vulnerabilities so I can be most effective exposing (if I don't expose I will be damaged in more than one way).

I am not afraid I just have to do this right.

Grateful for any suggestions. (got a headache otherwise would have gone further into it).

Payment to follow.
