ok here is your chance christians. an opportunity to prove the validity of the bible.

The only proof a person can have for themselves, begins with an inner-knowing that there must be some kind of Creator....and a sense of accountability to trying to understand that Creator, to live as truly righteously as possible for the sake of pleasing that Creator. To develop a hunger and thirst to know their Creator....to develop an inner honesty that tears down false perceptions about one's self and others......

Then, when one has searched with everything they have, and they can do nothing more to search.....that person is visited. That is to say, that the person is led from event to event.....from source to source..until they come to the burning bush.

When one receives this Visitation, and the Person of that Visitation calls Himself Jesus, and shows the Seeker a glimpse of reality and the scriptures....and draws the Seeker into a two-way communication....well - there is that proof.

It's a proof that is impossible for anyone else to appreciate because of it's very intimate nature. Only someone else who has been along the same Path, led by the same Voice will ever understand what such a Seeker is trying to talk about.

The rest of the world is looking for outward signs, outward evidences, but the Christ is ONLY found within the heart of the Seeker...and only after the Seeker has put the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness above all else in his/her life.

no offense taken that is a valid retort. i cannot demonstrate the validity of those other books. what i am interested in is the validity of the bible and that Jesus is my Savior and only true way to salvation. But i want to understand and accept that tenet with out bible quotes.

I'm thinking this could be a fun exercise and who knows in the end you might make a convert out of me.

Sir, NOT one Christian can prove nothing to you when it comes to salvation and they do not have the power to convert anyone.

I have a question I have wondered about and maybe you can help with my perplexment on the subject.

Why do you care so much?

Why do people that do not embrace a christ care if others do?
They shout from the rooftops about their right to worship their one gods, statues, cows, aliens and oh; I don't know what all else.
But than, want to shout down, prove wrong, condemn, and ridicule others because they embrace a christ.

What happened to religious tolerance or does that rule only apply to those that embrace the christian faith?

Just curious, I know their will probably be those that assume all sorts of inaccurate ideas about me, just for asking.
Oh well, I know that is all normal and part of being human and their path they must travel, good or bad. But I still wonder;

Why is Mohammed, Buddha, and other deities off limits to the point of imprisonment and death but it is acceptable to have openly attack Christianity.

the reason for this thread is just like the poster on Agent Mulder's wall. I WANT TO BELIEVE.. There are so many 'spiritual options' and what i find peculiar about Christianity is their exclusionism. they are the ONLY ONE TRUE PATH.

well you have me with the first two paragraphs. i agree whole heartedly on those points.

NOPE..thats all NEW testament..ya wont find a sin scrap of eternal torture in the OLD testament..cause the Hebrews didnt TEACH it..it was a PAGAN beleif of egypt...thus god saw it as an abomination.

Go one..search the old testament..YA WONT FIND it.
