Have you watched that? Quoting: Seer777 O.o So Shinji is left alone then? Bad ending indeed. Not quite... I should have said... Asuka and Shinji remain. The former name of the Lilith manifestation was Rei. Hence, her blood filling the seas. So Adam and Lilith are the only ones remaining. I have not seen Barefoot Gen before. Is it the same genre (IE, Eschaton/Apocalypse)? No. It was written by a child survivor of the Hiroshima bombing. I will leave a link to a profound scene. Be warned...it's very disturbing. But I think it is important that the true scope of the suffering is shown to the highest possible degree... that way, it is more likely that the atrocity will not repeat itself. That is what a "Black Caduceus" symbolizes for me. |

It is really fuzzy so I'll just say what I remember. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 32430667 A few nights ago I had another dream and your name was in it. I remember there being a cave and something like 'to get the answer you have to ask the question' and I can't remember who said that and who said this 'how can you ask a question to something you don't know exists' Again it is really fuzzy and I don't know if those were even the right words. Caves to me, mean inner mind. I don't know if it is connected to your last posts, but I figured I'd share and look like a dolt, lol The cave is important. It is where something good happens. |

It reminds me of something another said to me on pi's thread, which has been echoing through my head for the last 3 days... Imagine the things she doesn't know, that she doesn't know. I just wanted to say I always have to open my mouth and interject on most threads, but here I just listen as someone eventually says exactly what I'm thinking. Once in a blue moon this thread losses its way but always makes it back to coherency! Great job to all who frequent this mindpool, beautifull minds and hearts!:mexi: “One of the saddest lessons of history is this: If we’ve been bamboozled long enough, we tend to reject any evidence of the bamboozle. We’re no longer interested in finding out the truth. The bamboozle has captured us. It’s simply too painful to acknowledge, even to ourselves, that we’ve been taken. Once you give a charlatan power over you, you almost never get it back.” – Carl Sagan |

Especially yourself. Quoting: Seer777 From link... Despite its lowly reputation, bamboo may be the strongest stuff on the planet. It has greater tensile strength (or resistance to being pulled apart) than steel, and it withstands compression better than concrete. Both qualities are essential to keeping the plant, which grows to nearly 60 meters but is only as wide at the base as the very top, from falling over. It needs the compression strength to hold up its own weight and tensile strength to bend in the wind without breaking. Difficulties strengthen the Mind as labor does the body... ~Seneca |
