I haven't seen the older. I think one of the more telling scenes, is when the old man pops his head up into Edmond's cell. Essentially, when he realizes he spent years and years digging a tunnel in the wrong direction. Instead of being upset about it. He laughs. At himself. And goes right back to it. With help this time... Something to hope for. Freedom. :) Difficulties strengthen the Mind as labor does the body... ~Seneca |

Quoting: RaXz "A fight is going on inside me," he said to the boy. "It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves." "One is evil - he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, self-doubt, and ego." "The other is good - he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith." "This same fight is going on inside you - and inside every other person, too." The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather, "Which wolf will win?" The old chief simply replied, "The one you feed." Are we the cage for both? Yes. But you knew that. Service to Self OR Service to Others... They retired to the mythological Kunlun Mountain, where they prayed for a sign from the Emperor of Heaven. The divine being approved their union and the siblings set about procreating the human race. Quoting: observationi like that story /z\ Thinking outside the box with this story. Alot of creation stories are encased with water. I think the aether was considered water. Now, this flood, say it is not a flood flood but a flood of aether. If you read a little down in the story, fu xi taught the people. Where did all those people come from if there was only two survivors. I think they were the only two that had their beliefs and intuitions close together and the others were like dion said.
