Shiva, Parvati And The Bull


"Once lord shiva and his consort, Parvati, were travelling with their vehicle - the Bull. The Lord had taken the form of an old man, while, Parvatiji remained young and beautiful. On the road all passers-by looked on with amazement at this odd couple of an old man and a young woman.

On the way, Shiva said, ''Parvatiji, my dear, please sit and ride on the bull durig this journey.'' She obeyed and mounted the bull while Shiva walked alongside. The village folk and other strangers bitterly criticised, ''What a selfish woman! She is young and healthy and yet she chooses to comfortably ride while forcing the old man to walk.'' Shiva changed his mind. ''Parvatidevi, the people are mocking you. It is wiser that I sit and you walk.'' So saying, Shiva sat on the bull's back. Further along, other strangers came with sharper comments, ''O look at this mean, bully of a man. He's fat and robust, and evil too. He enjoys the ride while forcing this young and gentle lady to walk on foot.''

Hearing this both of them climbed the bull. At least, this would ward off the criticisms. But they were gravely mistaken and no sooner had they come to the next village, people sneered and jeered. ''Look at this nasty couple. Both of them have mercilessly climbed upon the bull. They'll kill the poor creature!''
Now there was only one option left. They dismounted and allowed the bull to walk freely. They accompanied it on either side. While they walked, they met new people with new bitterness. They laughed at them, shouting ''What foolishness! They have taken a bull as a vehicle and neither of them is using it.''

Straight away Shiva told Parvati, ''Come let us do what we think is right, and live the way we want to. The world will never appreciate or see what we do as correct.''

I kept telling the very same to the poor fellow... he'd often PM me ecstatic with his 'findings'. I have become cynical of the 'connections' I once saw in numerology, partially for the corruption I have seen it cause.... and also, because now I realize it needn't be used for ideas that resonate, as I have always done....

These days, I prefer to use Gematria (for example) to meditate on ideas, rather than attempt to outwardly demonstrate connection. It is very useful for meditating on raw information, I find.

It makes what is already true, truer.

Fixed It for Ya The following press release from the European Southern Observatory has been corrected to reflect the discovery that 99.99% of the universe is composed of plasma.

This dramatic new image of cosmic clouds a plasma discharge in the constellation of Orion reveals what seems to be a fiery ribbon in the sky. This orange glow represents faint light coming from grains of cold interstellar dust, at wavelengths too long for human eyes to see. It was observed by the ESO-operated Atacama Pathfinder Experiment (APEX) in Chile.

Clouds of gas and interstellarPlasma in a gaseous state along with charged dust and the galactic-scale electric currents that shape them are the raw materials from which stars stellar plasmoids are made. But these tiny dust grains block our view of what lies within and behind the clouds dusty plasma — at least at visible wavelengths — making it difficult to observe the processes of star formation stellar discharge.

This is why astronomers need to use instruments that are able to see at other wavelengths of light. At submillimetre wavelengths, rather than blocking light, the dust grains shine due to their temperatures of being heated to a few tens of degrees above absolute zero from their slight resistance to the galactic current. The APEX telescope with its submillimetre-wavelength camera LABOCA, located at an altitude of 5000 metres above sea level on the Chajnantor Plateau in the Chilean Andes, is the ideal tool for this kind of observation................
