Benghazi - The Rafallah al-Sahati brigade is refusing to disband and has 'arrested' several protesters who took part in Friday's protests. A police officer who helped organise Friday's Benghazi protest was arrested by another militia on the orders of the Minister of the Interior. An anti-militia protest today drew only 200 protesters. English-speaking Benghazi tweeters remarked that they were concerned about violence...

Tripoli - On Sunday, Libyan government officials gave armed groups two days to vacate military bases and compounds. The military installation seized Sunday (near the airport) was supposedly a small section of a base held by a small militia (not Zintan Brigade).

On September 1 (Gaddafi-era holiday), in the town of Brak, a radio station played Pro-G songs. The Libyan military (SSG) moved in to make arrests. After the SSG killed a local girl, a week-long battle began. 50 SSG 'soldiers' were killed. This weekend, in Tripoli, the SSG went on a rampage in the Rixos hotel to express their anger that the Libyan government did not send reinforcements to Brak.

(The Rixos must be the most dangerous lobby in the world - this is the 3rd time it's lobby has be re-decorated (shot up) my militias in the last 10 months).
