That's what disturbs me. No one is willing anymore to take matters into their own hands. No one wants responsibility of any sort. They look to the government to take responsibility... that's how the government gets its power.

Stories like this don't make me feel like surrendering my responsibility, but rather want to go out and brutally whoop the ass of whoever spread the nude pictures.

The guys that bullied her would have a fist coming their way. The little pussies who previously had to pick on a girl to feel alive need to be hit and hit hard. I don't understand where these schools are... I'm only in my 20s, but when I was in school if a guy pulled this shit with a girl he was going to get his ass kicked so bad... either by other guys from the school or the girl's family/friends. I can't wrap my head around the likes of some puke who so much of a wimp that he has to pick on girls.

As for the girls who bullied Amanda, you are not excused. I have some choice words that would leave those girls crying 24/7 for a month if I had the opportunity to share with them.


Zero responsibility, from all participants, is the problem with this entire horror story. No responsibility from the parents, the bullies or Amanda's friends.

I sent an email not too long ago....my addy doesn't contain my name, for privacy reasons.....and I didn't know that my name and photo, which was taken from facebook, accompanied my email.....the two accounts aren't even linked.

I know that many if not all of you guys probably knew this already....but I was suprised by it when the person I'd emailed answered me back and addressed me by name......gave me the creeps and I want to find an email account that doesn't do that.......

Yea the computer and facebook etc were her worse enemies. She needed to be moved out to the middle of nowhere with no computer access etc. Sometimes this is impossible but I bet her parents would have done that too if they knew she was going to kill herself over it. I know she tried other things, but I do feel also that they tried to do everything they could to help. I pray for her family..and for her soul. I pray for others who are in her shoes and for those to come that are faced with this. This needs to stop!

Have not read the whole thread but just wanted to say that I have a school age daughter. This story makes me so sad and mad. As a father I am making every effort to be fully engaged in her life and school activities. As a society we are failing our children by detaching and not being involved. It is so sad. I feel my most important job right now is to be an engaged and accessible father. There is no "do over" in raising kids.

Tragic story and totally avoidable. We all make mistakes, but no one should have to endure this kind of torment for the type of mistake she made.

Why weren't the cops involved with the initial distribution of underage nudity pics? Why wasn't the person who posted those pics on Facebook arrested for child pornography?

I will always stand up for the bullied underdog. This kind of thing needs to be dealt with swiftly and harshly.

It makes me sick inside to see a young lady in the prime of her life, kill herself over her social status.

As society continues to collapse, this will keep getting worse. Young people today have no moral reference point. All they know is the Sex, youth, and good times! pushed on T.V. When one child kills themselves other children giggle, and snicker? It upsets me, but what else can we expect? Unless we teach our children right, from wrong, how can we expect them to survive?
