Secessionist movement in America ????

It's people upset about Obama that have no idea the complex structures of economics and society. They are venting their frustration through these petitions. And keep in mind that after 25,000 signatures, they aren't obligated to do anything, they can respond to it, but based on the past petitions that have garnered much more support that have received no formal recognition, these people are holding their breath for nothing.

As much as I would love to see a state try to "survive on its own" and see the masses of people flock back into the United States when they are worse off than people in Cuba, but sadly it won't ever happen.

You don't ask to secede......you just do it. This tells me that this isn't the time....but soon perhaps. The point of secession is to create a new paradigm, not to get the approval of the old one..

Yes over a million of us are not happy with Obama and the direction he is tacking this country.

While it is useless (as we all know) we at least stated our opinion.

Obama nor anyone else in government ever said anything remotely similar to 25 thousand votes will get Congress to consider it.

One million people is about one half of 1% of the voting age public.

And as Trinity said, they'd sooner send in the military than let a state go.

Way more people stated they are dissatisfied by voting for Romney, almost 50 million approximation. We understand.

Relax, no matter how many people want it, no one is going to do it because they know it's a BAD IDEA. The majority of people actually understand how economics and how state, local and federal governments work and cooperate. online about it. And even more think the
petitions are a trap to gather an Obama hit list.
I have never seen resentment towards an administration
like this in all my 50 yrs of life.

So out of every 1 person who signed,
