Quoting: Anonymous Coward 20542092 But there are quite a few 'ways' to get there. Not that it wouldn't be guarded or anything, you know... Kind of reminds me of that one movie with the "ark" all the rich people buy their way onto for around $1 billion each. We were meant to live for so much more, have we lost ourselves? |

An estimated 20,000 New Age believers who say the "upside down" mountain is home to aliens who will rescue them from an impending apocalypse have saturated a small French commune near the foot of the picturesque Pic de Bugarach. The Independent reports the growing flock, whom locals refer to as "esoterics," believe the world will come to an end on Dec. 21, 2012. They also reportedly believe that the unique mountain is in fact home to a race of alien beings that will emerge to rescue the gathered humans and transport them to a new civilization. omar (OP) User ID: 26136665 United Kingdom 11/16/2012 02:33 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It is believed by some that Armageddon (or Doomsday), is coming on 21 December 2012, as the ancient Mayan calendar ends on that date. It is also believed that the Pic de Bugarach, in the Aude department of the Languedoc- Roussillon, is an ‘alien garage’ and within its caves or ‘grottes’ the aliens are waiting to leave the earth on 21 December 2012, taking with them a select few humans, who will be spared from the end of human civilization. According to ‘Nostradamus’ (a French apothecary) the vibrations of the mountain were ‘positive’ and visits to the Pic de Bugarach inspired both Jules Verne’s A Journey to the Centre of the Earth, The Raiders of the Lost Ark and Steven Spielburg’s Close Encounters of the Third Kind. There has also been talk of secret archealogical digs by the Nazis, the Israeli Secret Service (Mossad), flying saucers, ‘humming’ from the mountain and mysterious helicopter visits by Francois Mitterand, the late French President. A rapidly increasing stream of New Age believers – or esoterics, as locals call them – have descended in their camper van-loads on the usually picturesque and tranquil Pyrenean village of Bugarach. They believe that when apocalypse strikes on 21 December this year, the aliens waiting in their spacecraft inside Pic de Bugarach will save all the humans near by and beam them off to the next age. According to New Agers, the local mountain has magical powers as a gate between different worlds. With the supposed apocalypse just months away, the mayor of Bugarach fears that his town will be overrun with visitors. [link to www.spiegel.de] :spyda: |

The movie portrays Los Angeles, India, the Vatican, and other places being destroyed by a flood, starting December 21, 2012. The main ones that survive, survive on what could best be described as flotilla of modern versions of Noah’s Ark. Because the date of the start of the “Mayan flood” is getting closer, it is making the news again. There apparently are about 100,000 people who hope to flee to Pic de Bugarach, France this year, many of whom supposedly also expect to get saved, not by a boat, but by an alien space ship: [link to www.cogwriter.com] :spyda: |

I a just giving the sites with photos proving Mitterrand went there a few weeks before being elected president. It was said later that his fried Patrice Pelat who was later blamed in the Pechiney scandal was an initiate close to the Priory of Sion (Plantard de Saint-Clair, etc)... |

Just so happens that you'll be sightseeing around the spot on the 21st. If nothing happens whilst on 'holiday' there then go back home after your hols. If TSHTF does arrive then it'll be a short run up the hill and I'm sure that the French government will have more pressing matters than kicking a few climbers off that hilltop. |
