Two batteries is a weird configuration for a PATRIOT deployment.

Usually there is an HQ battery and 3 (or more) sister batteries.

HQ, Alpha, Bravo and Charlie batteries is a standard PATRIOT battalion. HQ is mostly redundant but would be very useful for confirmation of launch (via a Turkish political operative from sitting in HQ's ECS).

Wonder why the odd arrangement?

FYI: 400 people is a bit more personal than 2 batteries normally have....probably extra people for security and logistics.

The Russians nor were the Chinese ever going to intervene. The rising elites in those former communist states are way too busy lining their pockets, irrespective of public stances.
