beeches User ID: 28167778 United States 09/07/2013 11:45 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | What I mean is do you think global warming is at a dangerous point. A point where the weather is much different than in the past and dangerous in a way that we haven't seen before? That's what I mean. I wonder if winter isn't just winter anymore? Quoting: WindyMind according to official data, any "global warming" stopped in 1996. Large parts of the world have experienced a cooling trend in the past few years - Great Britain, Turkey, parts of Russia come to mind for this. of course, "global warming" still represents about a third of any science curriculum at any grade level. With the added component of expressly political involvement to come at the end of the year for high schoolers. Programming. even though global warming has been discredited so many times, the name is now often "climate change". Admit it was a false hypothesis and move on. Anonymous Coward User ID: 41266891 United States 10/21/2013 08:21 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Hey - I wanted to add. Our water heater went out and instead of fretting my wife and began to BOIL hot water, take into a bucket, add/ mix in the cold water then bath away. Our power bill dropped $200 this last month. I know taking a long hot shower is nice, and she and I go to the gym for those. We also use the oil based space heaters and they give off really nice warm heat. Love it. |

If I didn't have to drive to work in those white fluffy lil bastards, 'cold and refreshing time' probably wouldn't be so bad. :) ahem^ you mistranslated... i fixed it lol lol yeah driving in the 'white fluffy bastards' sucks... especially if there is a lot of 'gleaming glassy stuff' (ice) _______________________ |

I messed it up. I'm going to take these terms into the real world. The gleaming glassy stuff is petrifying. I drove home after Christmas a few years ago with my mom. What a trip that was. I literally crawled for about 3/4 hours straight. |

I got carbon monoxide poisoning very bad from using a kerosene heater in my garage/workshop. Not sure if the unit was faulty or I adjusted the flame incorrectly, Be careful |

Always make sure they are burning properly. Quoting: Morpheus I got carbon monoxide poisoning very bad from using a kerosene heater in my garage/workshop. Not sure if the unit was faulty or I adjusted the flame incorrectly, Be careful I use kero heaters often and it cant be stressed enough to use caution and maintain the heater.Always have a carbon monoxide detector where you use one.I have had the alarm go off and I thought I had everything perfect. The flame can readjust or a number of things that will cause that to happen but without the detector you would never know it was happening. The main thing is to clean the wick, burn them dry on a regular basic ,after the number of burn hours stated on the instructions, and get the burnt hard stuff off the wick. This is what causes the smoke and fumes. This is a must do.Otherwise all the sticky, hard, goo is on the wick and thats not good.It does not hurt the wick, just makes it burn clean. Here is a great link explaining how to do it. [link to www.milesstair.com] |
