I'm a new Catholic - actually haven't even been received yet - not 'til Easter, and I have to get my kids finishing homework and getting to bed, so I will leave the heavy lifting to IamIam and KKool.

But I just want to add my support. I have been a Christian my whole life, but never knew the whole Truth of the Gospel until a moment of grace bestowed upon me - through an old Catholic friend. (To be clear - it was the work of God/the Holy Spirit, but He used my friend to reach me with the message.) I read the Gospel for the first time all the way through and was able to see so clearly the message that I had never really learned. My prayers began to be answered - almost immediately. Day by day, more and more of the Truth was revealed to me. Eventually, I had to give some credit where credit was due - I knew some devout Catholics were praying for me to find the answers I was looking for - and I was getting them. So I started reading about the Catholic church. What I found was absolutely amazing - the first time I read the Catechism, I cried. The Church was describing how God reveals himself to us, and pulls us to him - in exactly the same way it had happened to me.

It was a little scary at first - it's true what some say - that the Catholic Church is either the one true church, or it is the work of the devil. All that Freemason, Jesuit, Vatican conspiracy and Gnostic stuff (disinformation) online scared the poop out of me. I was terrified that maybe I was making a mistake and committing myself to Satan, because there was no question something very powerful was happening in my spiritual life. So it was one or the other - good or evil.

But every time I walked into the Church, or talked to another Catholic, or even received a sacrament (I was blessed to receive an anointment for past hurts at a mission service), I could not deny in my heart that what I was experiencing was nothing but pure love and communion with Christ.

The bible warns of difficult times in, and assaults upon the Church. In fact, I haven't found anything within the Catholic Church and its teachings that conflicts in any way with the Bible. To the contrary, the Catechism is an incredibly beautiful synthesis of the Truth of the Christian bible.

Catholicism is not a religion - it is manual for living a Christ-centered life. It's more than that - it's an explanation of the Truth mixed with all the tools one needs to fortify him or herself against the attacks of the enemy. This is precisely why, in my opinion, there is so much anti-Catholic sentiment and disinformation on the web. It is to keep us from the truth.

If any of you are serious about fighting the powers that be - look into Our Lady of Fatima - but not just any information. Bishop Fulton Sheen is a good source, and there are others. You will see so clearly that God, in his infinite mercy, has instructed us how to fight - without guns. The most powerful weapon we have is the Rosary. Pope John Paul II said so, and I have witnessed it in my own life.

But don't take anything you find online at its word - look to the actual church teachings - the Catechism, and then come back and tell us where the Catholic Church is wrong or evil.

When you get to Hell you will know it was not that greate enjoy while it last
because eternity is a very long time. Pray that you will turn around timeis getting short

Oh, and Evangelical Christians and Catholics are a lot more alike than many think. Whether you embrace the Catholic church or not, it's time for all Christians to come together in opposition to the enemy.

(I personally think Catholicism is a really nice addition to an Evangelical's re-birth in Christ - the fullness of the faith that will constantly challenge one to grow ever stronger in his or her faith, but we don't all have to agree on the details to be united.)
