Abortion is murder. Period.

I do not believe this subject should be a religious edict to women and abortion issues. This is one of the biggest reasons why there is separation from church & state; So the church cannot force the government to make choices based on religion. Who's religion? Christianity? Buddha? How about catholics that do not believe in birth control. Just keep having 19, 20, 21 babies "and counting".

We need to educate, and help women/men not get in those situations where they feel there is no other alternative. That's what we should be doing. That's what families should be doing, talking to their sons/daughters about alternatives, choices.

I agree that we should be educating people how to avoid getting into these situations. But I am also communicating to people who are already in 'a situation'. I fully support a multi-pronged approach, and I welcome the support of anyone who wishes to reduce the number of abortions which are performed. I am a Christian so naturally I approach the issue from that vantage point. I am motivated by the desire to save not only lives but souls.

Women need to get on birth control for GODS sakes they have it now that lasts for 5 years. There is no reason in the world for a baby to be conceived if not wanted. Better yet because women are no longer natures nuturers.. they ought to get their tubes tied. Men get a vesectomy its not hard, your not impudent and you will never ever have some woman claim you got her pregnant. Stop creating babies you don't want or can not give a good home to get FIXED...!!!

As I try to read this - herein lies the problem:

If you've read my earlier post to this thread, you know that the wife and I lost two (2) children. We know we will one day meet them inside the Gates of Heaven. I couldn't live with myself knowing that this meeting would not be a joyous reunion of parents and a child, but rather filled with the shame and humility that would exist while explaining to them of why I decided to kill them. Then to look into the face of God to explain why/ how I though I "knew better" and decided to kill the child.

However, these are no places, where rewards and punishments are pronounced. These are states of consciousness. These states of mind you can experience anywhere, even here on earth.

What would be a medical reason to use an abortion to save the mother? One example would be a mother had severe cancer and needed chemotherapy, and doing so would imperil the child, and so a discussion between the mom and the physician would take place on the timing of such a chemotherapy treatment.

We need to reevaluate Roe v Wade. It's most likely not Constitutional since the Constitution is silent on the subject as is the Bill of Rights. Scalia agrees it was a bad decision. It's not a Federal Government issue.

It's not a Christian issue, for we have Free Will. Christians cannot impose our beliefs on nonbelievers. But Christian citizens however pay taxes and can speak out just as any citizen can. It's their moral obligation.

It's a medical ethics question, for it forces doctors to do something unethical and breaks the Hippocratic Oath.Any medical personnel who also assist in any way at that facility is also responsible.

If it's federally mandated by health care law, we all are responsible.
