The easiest way to eliminate shills is to report abusive posts and get them banned. If you like the GLP community, spend 15 minutes per day exposing shills. It forces them to do more work to come back and makes their shrill voices quieter.

Obviously these shills do know how to use proxies so banning an ip doesnt solve much. Look their countries show USA and Guam pffft. Obviously this dude is not from USA. Dunno about that Guam dude though.

You'd be surprised how easy it is to get someone banned. Yes, they can reset it or use a proxie. Then get banned again. An organized group of paid shills can keep it up. The average shill will get tired of it and take a break and move on to another social media site.

its hard to tell how much radiation people are ingesting on a daily basis through food and drinks, because they set a "safety limit" and if the food is below that, it is considered safe to eat. if the safety limit is 100bq/kg, and everything you eat has 99bq/kg, isn't that still very dangerous? and even with these safety limits in effect, stuff still slips through all the time, probably more than is reported. i see vegetables from fukushima for sale all the time, like potato and cucumber. if there is radiation in the water, you cook with it, drink it, bathe in it, wash your clothes in it. most japanese dry their clothes outdoors on a veranda.
they do not do thyroid tests or anything like that for children outside of fukushima. commercial geiger counters are limited to certain types and brands now. the government and tepco absolutely do withhold information, and not only that but many schools are openly serving fukushima vegetables in their school lunches, and you do not have a choice of eating it.
and the saddest part? almost everyone doesn't care anymore. nobody tries to change anything for the most part, they talk amongst themselves, but many times, if you bring something up you are called a "fear mongorer" because you are talking about something that people would rather not think about.
i recently gave birth to a baby girl in November, and spent my entire pregnancy here in tokyo (and several years before that including 3/11 and all of the time since) and spent the better part of my pregnancy worrying that she would have some kind of defect. she didn't, at least not any that are visible, but it's likely that her dna is mutated in some way, along with my 3 year old son (he was just turning 1 when the disaster occurred). but one day, when they are much older, and have family's of their own, if they marry with other japanese people in the area, it's very likely that their children will have some sort of mutation, which makes me very sad.

i guess that what im getting at is that we wont start seeing the truly devastating effects until several years later. the japanese government has doomed its own citizens. but the japanese have this sort of attitude, where they say "shoganai" (nothing you can do) to things like this. its a very complex situation.

Yes or Shigata ga nai (It can't be helped). Ultimately only the Japanese people themselves can do something to help themselves. However in this case, their actions are literally poisoning the air and water with radioactive isotopes.

All nations do this. I'm from the USA, and we sure cause pollution like the plastic island forming in the oceans from our garbage. However the radioactive isotopes will last forever and are so widepread as to cause immediate international alarm.

I'm sorry to hear your personal situation and concern about birth defects. Post-Hiroshima and Nagasaki, it's very true that some Japanese people discriminated against anyone from those areas, and as a result they had difficulty getting married.

CP, Are there any Australian sites monitoring the flows from Japan of air currents across the equator and any ongoing monitoring across Oz?

With the huge amounts of rain we have had from the cyclone recently it would be interesting to know what our monitoring has revealed?

Can you lead me in a direction to find this stuff?

can do man, the cyclical rain meets at the meridian, or equator, we are lucky that they buffer each other.. the largest (yet weak on global definition), was both recorded in NZ, and Darwin....... we are the luck fer in the down-under..... i have the east coast rad-net up recording on a daily basis from the maloolabah area NE of BRis.. will find you the link if you like.. it's very useful as a diagrammatic study...

It's my understanding that Aussies are very lucky based upon the ocean distance and air current flow across largely the Northern Hemisphere and hence you probably have safer air and water in general.

The least polluted place on the planet is Bhutan based upon the lack of industry and elevation. It's why some people get their herbs from there.

Please explain proof of danger radiation in public area. You make for parody joke? This is video result of leaking microwave oven exposing radiation. This not problem for public! Why you not check for truth? You like TEPCO lawsuit for you slander with lies?

Are you saying your own research by the military for the military is flawed?

Or that the health aspects are not related to the same form of health issues that face Japan.

(in part)
High rates of miscarriage, toxic levels of lead and mercury contamination and spiralling numbers of birth defects ranging from congenital heart defects to brain dysfunctions and malformed limbs have been recorded. Even more disturbingly, they appear to be occurring at an increasing rate in children born in Fallujah, about 40 miles west of Baghdad.

There is "compelling evidence" to link the increased numbers of defects and miscarriages to military assaults, says Mozhgan Savabieasfahani, one of the lead authors of the report and an environmental toxicologist at the University of Michigan's School of Public Health. Similar defects have been found among children born in Basra after British troops invaded, according to the new research.

The same treatment should work in both places.

If radiation is bad for living things what would it do to the properties of steel over a long period of time or does it 'collect' in fluids faster than it does in dry goods, if so water to be ingested should be made on the spot from water vapor, natural or man-made. If hemp is grown it is said to leach heavy metals out of the soil over time so plant that where you want the gardens to be and then when they are producing clean food the hemp would be planted in pastures and the process repeated. The radioactive crop could be sunk in the trench not far offshore, along with all other radiated waste. Make it the dump site for the world and cap it off every 10 years of so. Another project that is possible but won't be moved on because there is no return for the bankers so the whole population of Japan is going to be sacrificed (over a few generations). The liberation in 1945 from the slave-like mentality only made obedience to 'the State' the only change.

Assuming they cannot cap it off in a reasonable amount of time the whole population of the island could be settled along the shores of the Hudson's Bay in Canada's north, It is void of people and the Bay could be made into a productive fishing ground. Another project that makes no money for the bankers so it is also not worth moving on.

In the worst case they are destined to become extinct because by the time the danger is truly evident it is too late to do anything about it. That is acceptable to their political leaders, just as it would be in any other nation in the world, including Canada, the US, Europe, etc.

Thanks for posting an authoritative medical video which clearly shows the danger of using what was thought to be safe "depleted" uranium. I will send you green karma when it reloads. It is not debateable that radiation of any level is dangerous to the human body and causes mutations.

Dr. Rokke is one of the TOP experts on depleted uranium with a long list of scientific credentials:

"Doug served as a member of the 3rd U.S. Army Medical Command's Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical (NBC) teaching, medical response, and special operations team, the 3rd U.S. Army captured equipment project team, and with the 3rd U.S. Army Depleted Uranium Assessment team during Gulf War 1(Operation Desert Storm). He was the U.S. Army's Depleted Uranium Project director from 1994 - 1995. He developed the congressionally mandated education and training materials and wrote U.S. Army Regulation 700-48, the U.S. Army PAM 700-48, and the U.S. Army's common task for DU incidents."

I don't believe that thyroid tumors could develop this rapidly. I have studied health physics professionally for more then 15 years, if you look at the literature tumors and cancers related to this kind of exposure take at least 5 or more years to develop.

I'm sorry for what happened at the nuclear plant in japan, but this kind of alarmism doesn't help anyone.

The fukushima accident and meltdowns represent the worst possible case for GE Mk1 reactors, and we are lucky because the containment structure actually did its job, even though it failed, MOST of the radioactive material stayed in the structure.

When it comes to thought-less emotional responses, the anti-nuclear people are as bad as the anti-gun people. If your really concerned about radiation and its impact on humans, go to school and hit the books.

This is clearly the result from consuming large amounts of iodine tablets when not even needed. All radiation levels in public areas are perfectly safe. If you overdose on pot-iodine tablets this will always happen! You should not be always paranoid and over-reaction. What I say is fact only!

This is clearly the result from consuming large amounts of iodine tablets when not even needed. All radiation levels in public areas are perfectly safe. If you overdose on pot-iodine tablets this will always happen! You should not be always paranoid and over-reaction. What I say is fact only!

Was wondering if they had been given iodine as I have always heard it should be taken when exposed to radiation.

Then how do you account for the Japanese reports of thyroid nodules being seen in such numbers? It's definitely a biostatisical abberation. It's clear that radiation manifests in the thyroid first. Are you suggesting that an alternative explanation? If so, then how?

I watched my cousin develop brain tumors in a matter of months. She died quickly.

Might be different, but it can still happen when there is a strong agitator present(radiation).
