I agree with you. I live in an area heavy in the lifestyle recipients. I see the "purchase card" way too often being used by people that I living better than my family. I had to stop shopping at one of the walmarts in town when the Mr Ghetto Walmart video came out because it made me so sick. Glorifying it. A state politician here tried to introduce a bill providing free sterilization for welfare recipients. Although Louisiana is ass backwards politically or maybe forwards in this case, it was shot down immediately.

The welfare system was designed to assist working families who needed help from time to time and those who are truly disabled. It has not been what it was designed for for decades.

You have the people who are disabled, can't take care of themselves, maybe not even cook for themselves.

You have the people who work but still don't make enough to buy food after they pay for shelter, clothing and transportation. These are true needs along with food.

Then there are the complete freeloaders.

You can tell who is what type at the grocery sometimes. The working families who still need help tend to buy more whole foods that would have to be prepared from scratch. Generally healthier foods that will give them what they need to keep working. The disabled I notice buy a lot of packaged freezer meals. The freeloader lifestylers buy carts of pure crap. Processed poisons. I am a people watcher. I have learned a lot about people just by watching them over the years. It's not judgment. Just observations.

Frankly, I could not care less what the motivation is for unified resistance to this. Call them whatever you want, they are on the same side as you.

When you insert your ticket to enter the park you also place your finger on a biometric pad to match your fingerprint to that ticket so no one else can use it. This is what they are talking about.
