Anonymous Coward User ID: 1302477 United States 02/13/2013 05:47 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I have a 7 ½ lb Beef Tenderloin, I don't eat a lot of red meat. Anyone have any suggestions as to what I could do with it? Quoting: amachiavellian Boy do I ever. (Just kidding.) If it's freshfresh, I would recommend trying it raw...carpaccio. (You can sear it lightly on the outside if you absolutely must.) Shave slices as thin as you can possibly get it. Arrange in a circle on a plate and drizzle with good olive oil and lots of fresh squeezed lemon juice, S&P to taste, and add some arugula and shaved parm to the center of the plate. Capers and onions are a nice touch. Serve with some warm crusty bread. Cut steaks from the rest. |

Anyone have any suggestions as to what I could do with it? Quoting: amachiavellian Cut it into steaks. Grill over a wood fire, salt and pepper, medium to medium rare. Or marinate with a little soy sauce, worschester sauce a little chopped green onion a few hours before grilling. For salt and pepper get McCormick Montreal Steak Grill Mates seasoning. |

I'll have it with fire roasted red peppers and boiled baby reds - For an appetizer, I'm going with - If it's freshfresh, I would recommend trying it raw...carpaccio. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1302477 To the dude that wants it in a slow cooker I say NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! This turned out pretty cool actually. I got 8 really nice steaks (about 6-8oz ea), about a 2 ½lb roast and about 1 ½lbs of hunks I could use for a stew (slow cooker - there ya go dude), or beef stroganoff. Thank you all people - You're awesome! Last Edited by amachiavellian on 02/13/2013 07:05 PM — read for knowledge, not answers. |
